Atmospheric Black Metal from Belgium
Following the 2022 debut album "Met de drietand op mijn huid which was imbued with the mischievous aura of 90s atmospheric black metal and characterized by ethereal keyboards and a deeply melodic bassline Aerdryk, the solo project of C.V.B., returns with its second release, "Onzuiver" (“Impure” in Flemish). “Onzuiver” unfolds as a frenetic sonic pilgrimage through inspired riffs and an almost folk-like approach hidden behind the distortion, advocating for the liberation of the spirit and urging the listener to break the chains of subjugation. Here, Aerdryk openly professes the original mission of black metal: a clenched fist striking directly in the face of self-proclaimed Christian morality.
