Working on little combos before I start choreographing for Florida Aerial Arts Championships!
Star drop 🙌🏼 Would y'all wanna see some aerial silks content or nah??
Feeling this 360 combo I've been practicing ✌️🎶
Just a few of my aerial silks shots from the shoot.
True straight arm inversions are a skill I have to work back up to thanks to covid, but I at least can do 3/4th of one from split strands. Still missing the last push from the back, but it’ll come back eventually.
Squeezing thighs saves lives
Tonight was my third night back on the fabrics since my studio reopened (with really excellent policies that make it so only one person uses a fabric before it’s washed and rehung). Every class feels a little bit better as my body starts to remember a little of its old strength. I found a lot of play in our sequence today and was pleasantly surprised to find my flexibility is still there even though I’ve been in PT mode only to deal with my injuries.
All in all, I felt little more like myself tonight which is one of the most refreshing feelings during this time.
Me: “Oh! Double knee hooks? I’ll roll my pants up so that I have a better knee bite”
*accidentally adds slack to an s-wrap*
The skin on the backs of my knees: “wHyYyyYYy???”
In happier news, my grip strength is starting to return! We did minute dead hangs for conditioning at the end and I didn’t think I’d last the full minute. Somehow, I did! Baby steps back to where I was.
