Finally got around to drawing Adult Aerndel for a spread of Thez's kids, though only 1 is actually biologically theirs.

They're all squids, I've just not drawn the other two's squid bodies yet

young Aerndel done, now time for Adult Aerndel

Young adult and Adolescent Aerndel of the Venerator Creed. At age 15, Aerndel was chosen by the Elderbrain to join the Venerators and then quickly selected to be High Venerator Taress's successor and direct apprentice.

While he still held many of the values and culture of his people, Aerndel was born soft and empathetic, and despite the conditioning, training, and propaganda of his colony, remained that way into his adulthood. Masking this flaw became easier and often times necessary as he aged. From an exterior point of view, Aerndel was the poster child of Illithid, but on the inside he hated inflicting harm on any lessor creatures unless absolutely necessary.

Under Thez'Taress's tutelage, Aerndel blossomed as a Venerator, he excelled at his studies and any shortcomings were fixed with care and patience. After Taress's death, he was taken in by Menanok and suffered his Creed Master's punishments and impossibly high standards. Like his previous master, Aerndel's back is covered in scars from Menanok's whip. And In a fit of rage towards the end of his training, Menanok sliced off Aerndel's ears and left the stumps ragged as a reminder to all of his failures. At present, Aerndel is traveling through the Underdark on pilgrimages and raiding parties as the High Venerator of Oryndoll, eventually he will take his place as Creed Master when Menanok joins the Elderbrain.

cleaned the wretched old bastard up also here are my other two venerator ocs, Thez'Taress the High Venerator (right) and his apprentice Aerndel (left) with Creed Master Menanok (center) [art is very much unfinished but whatever, this is also roughly their heights]

Thez was next in line to be creed master but Menanok paid the Mercenary Xarxes to kill him, Thez escaped but he would never return to Oryndoll

Putting some of the hoes on the size chart with my ocs and found out that @azrithart's Khuul and my Aerndel are the same height, they're also polar opposites
