Wernher von Braun
Dr. Wernher von Braun and the Saturn 1B launch vehicle - 1964.
Shoutout to the fallen fan theories of Wandavision, we’ll miss you.
Gotta hype up all those cameo options! We really were out here manifesting Ian fucking McKellan and John Krasinski out of nowhere
Related, shoutout to the Aerospace Engineer who was just... a soldier, that Monica knew and was helpful. That’s nice good for her.
I know this was last episode but I loved the idea that the comercial actors were Wanda’s parents! I guess it’s slightly better knowing she wasn’t puppetting them like props, but it makes you feel bad for the two townsfolk who were awake for maybe 30 seconds every few hours.
We didn’t get mutants or the multiverse but hey, Pietro was our boy Ralph, whose some kind of out of work actor?
Give it up for Arcana... oh no wait Dottie... oh actually her name is Sarah and she’s a mom who wants to be reunited with her daughter? Oh okay, that’s somehow sadder.
And of course, can’t forget, the fantastic collections of Mephistos!
Starting up with Ralph, I was really riding this one for a while I gotta say
Dottie too, she seemed just to important after episode two to forget, but again, scared mom served the plot just as well!
Tyler Hayward was almost certainly not Mephisto, but it would’ve been crazy if he was!
And honestly, I was really hoping that Fly was gonna be something cool, but instead it was a very healthy snack for a rabbit!
And honestly, all of these fantheories were awesome and I loved participating in every single one. But, Wandavision at it’s core is a show about love, loss, grief, and survival, all of which Wanda Maximoff has exemplified to extraordinary degrees. It’s given us the first real central Marvel love story, which ended beautifully while also setting up room for a reunion later on. And it did what all Marvel properties should do in my opinion: explore the characters, create relevant and relatable stories, and set up places for the characters to grow in the future. And for me, I can’t wait to see what Wanda Maximoff, the twins, and whatever version of Vision is still out there, do next.
Lab day at college where we finally got to observe the wind tunnel closely, it's mostly fun excluding the noise (ノ^_^)ノ
hey there, for the sleepover ask :)
what's your top three star wars vehicles?
OK BUT THIS IS SO HARD AS AN AEROSPACE ENGINEER. BECAUSE SPACE SHIPS. UGH. OK.
*thinks very hard*
1. I know it's cliche, but I have so much nostalgic adoration for the Millennium Falcon, so I think that has to take #1. I love that hunk of junk so much. It makes exactly zero sense aerodynamically, just a massive space pizza that flies around, but I love it so hard.
2. Naboo N-1 Starfighter - ok, these things are SLEEK. The design is so stunning. Really love the aesthetic for all Naboo ships, and I think it's a really cool way to draw attention to the planet's cultural focus on the arts through an engineering design. Just *chef's kiss*
3. X-wings - cliche again, I know, but their versatility is just something else. Also, Poe's black and orange paint job is everything. That specific X-wing is probably what secures this spot for the vehicle over say the Havoc Marauder.
Send me an ask for Sleepover Saturday! Prompts
still thinking about that aerospace engineer monica talked about
