Youth Town Hall: AMPLIFYING YOUTH VOICE IN SACRAMENTO

The Youth Town Hall is one in a series of opportunities for Sacramento Youth to stand up and speak out in issues that are important to them. On May 13th, young people are invited to speak with Mayor Darryl Steinberg and other elected officials on important needs and issues that matter to young people.

This is an opportunity to exercise your civic responsibility and voice your preference for certain policies, ideas, and issues.

Founding members of the Sacramento Youth Alliance Commuity Action Team clarifying the work they will do through the network with, and on behlaf of, under-represneted  young people in the Sacramento area. These powerful young women are committed to ensuring that Sacramento is a city where all young people are engaged, have opportunities to use thier voice and have opportunities to succeed and thrive!

These two rocked it at the Black Minds Matter Hearing at the CA State Capitol. Their testimony helped to pass new draft legislation on School Climate and Resortative Justice through the Education Commiitee, a first step in ensuring student voice and student need is at the center of any school reform conversations. Now onto to the Appropriations Committee!
