I was wondering if you could answer 15?
I love finding new music to draw to, it's a large part of my process. So I guess I'm just super curious how it affects yours. ^w^
Hello! :D Thank you so much for sending this in <3
15. What was on your writing playlist?
SO. Because writing involves word generation, I tend to find that I can't focus on producing words while listening to music with lyrics. Similarly I am not one of those people who can type a message while listening to someone speak, or read something while listening to a show in the bg or anything of the sort. Basically I can only focus on one source of words at once LOL. I do still like writing to music though! I just exclusively do it to instrumental music, most commonly video game soundtracks. Some of my top picks are the original soundtracks for:
The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles (really great thinking music, given the nature of the games)
Chicory: A Colorful Tale (this whole game is actually about artistic expression and learning to recognize the value of your own unique voice as a creator, so the music puts me in a very creative head space)
Fire Emblem: Awakening (duh)
Final Fantasy XIV (just really beautiful, emotive music in general. this time of year I find myself particularly drawn to the Heavensward OST but I listen to Stormblood, Shadowbringers and Endwalker plenty as well. I do have to skip over the songs with lyrics though)
Donkey Kong Country 1 & 2 (childhood favorites that always get me amped up)
I incorporate other soundtracks in there from time to time as well, but these are my go to's. I like that most of them are several hours long as well, so I can just put it on and then not have to mess with the music for a while after :D
HOWEVER. Since my answer to the above doesn't actually provide much in the way of chrobin songs (and since I believe you mentioned wanting more chrobin-y music in your reblog), I'm also gonna go ahead and link this list of songs from my chrobin playlist I made a while back. It's a little outdated at this point, and there are definitely a whole bunch that I have discovered since and need to go back and add onto there, but it's a jumping off point, at least! Maybe I'll try and add onto it before the end of the year :)
