Here’s my Artemis Fowl Big Bang piece! I had the pleasure of partnering up with the wonderful, talented, amazing @iesnoth!!! I find it funny that our roles were somewhat reversed, but I’m happy with the end result hehee.

Here’s an excerpt of iesnoth’s fic that inspired me to draw this scene (please read it ahhh it’s so good):

It was sunset when they surfaced in Noorddorp, and the fairies enjoyed the rare pleasure of watching the sky transition from vibrant orange, to pink, to violet and finally to a velvety dark blue before the three recon officers engaged their wings and flew the twenty-odd kilometers to the East Docklands.

And of course, give iesnoth and everyone else who participated in the Big Bang your love and support - they are all so talented and deserve every bit of it. And a special thank you to @pokegeek151 for organizing this whole event. This wouldn’t have been possible without ya, so thank you!

Hiya!! I was literally out cold yesterday with an awful headache so I wasn’t able to post my artwork for the Artemis Fowl Big Bang 2021 on tumblr, SO HERE YOU GO!!

I was severely angry at the world and the gods when my laptop fully gave up on me...BUT I WASN’T ABOUT TO GIVE UP! I’m a very stubborn Aries ok? So I had to resort to hand drawing and watercolour...(and you can see how that turned out).

AF Big Bang Questions 1/?

I’ve been checking sign ups as they come in, and I’m here to answer some questions!

Can the written work be a chapter in a continuing work, or completely new and original?

Works should be new! You are of course welcome to continue them later, but they should be able to be read standalone at the time of release.

When you say artists will be bidding on proposals, does that mean we're making a companion piece to one of the written pieces?

Yes! Artists will be making companion pieces to the written work they are paired with.

Does Fowl Twins content count?

Fowl Twins counts, but be aware that not everyone has read the books yet, so keep that under consideration.

How do you feel about OCs and/or polyamorous ships?

Poly ships are allowed as long as they fit the other guidelines. As much as I love and appreciate people who write and/or draw OCs, for this event, they cannot be the focus of a work in order to make creator pairings easier.

Are we just posting this on Tumblr or is AO3 ok?

I highly encourage you to post your works on multiple platforms!

As more questions come in, I will make more answer posts. Additionally, I am adding the following to the writing and art guidelines: Works, both written and visual, cannot contain NSFW content or graphic gore.
