I finally finished it! I can’t tell if it looks better without the bag shoulder strap, but I knew I wanted to add it to be faithful to his design lol

——Don’t tell me he can’t be blond, because he certainly can, and well, it’s obviously to reminisce of corn (the texture I gave the hair too!). I would have given him bigger eyes, and it’s not that he has small ones in this rendition, they’re just squinted for some reason xD idk I think he looks adorable. / Aside from that, I wanted to make him look older, but well, this is how he turned out in the end—I started this work weeks ago and then left it when it was almost finished :/ so last night I just decided to do some final touches, enough to post it.

— I headcanon him as Moroccan/North African in general tbh, bc of certain details in the ads. And bc as a North African seeing the ads here and there, that’s what my mind automatically assumed regardless lol :D ⵣ I dedicated it to my Moroccan friend Ali! And he said he totally looks like it haahhah

Tried my hand at redesigning Mufasa and Scar's mothers into the original 2d style.

For both I ignored their looks in the Mufasa movie...mostly because I couldn't tell any of them apart.

I like the idea that Scar looks like his mother, especially coupled with her being the one to mostly raise Mufasa, so I ran with that for her. I made her more brown to make her look warmer. Obasi's genes didn't even try with Scar.

I made Afia a bit dimmer than her son and made her eyes light brown instead of red cause cause I wanted that to come from Mufasa's father. I kept the stripe she has on her head.
