Playing With Fire
“Okay, listen, I’m still trying to understand...” Luci stared at his hand and the lack of fire in it. “You said I’m like you with the whole fire thing, aren’t I?” His gaze broke and shifted to Parker. “So then why is there no fire?”
“Ladies, ladies, please.” The man started to grin, highly enjoying the attention. “I know it is a shame to cover up a masterpiece, but does anyone have something I can put on?”
“I do.” There were several disappointed groans as one of the young woman brought forth some clothes for the man to put on. “So you really don’t remember anything?” He shook his head as he pulled on the clothes. Several of the sorority girls left now that the show was over, but a few stayed behind. “And you’re not drunk?”
“No, but I think I’d liked to be.” He laughed.
“Oh! Well, why don’t you come out with us? We know this really great bar...” She was grinning as he pretended to think about it.
“Sure, why not? Just lead the way.” And so the man was led by a small group of the woman to a bar somewhere in the city.
Kerri pulled her hair up into a ponytail as she watched the others around her getting ready. There was her brother, Parker, and Dom there with her getting ready for an attack against some of the Foundation. Felix didn't want Kerri to go without him, but someone needed to stay with the kids. She sighed softly and sat down, trying to calm the nerves that were already forming.

"You really know how to bolster a man's ego, you know that?"
☢- Parker and Leo running for their lives
catastrophic horror movie type dream
"Leo, run!" His friend, Max was yelling into his ear and trying to push Leo to his feet. "Take the girl and run. Save yourselves." And with that, Leo was finally on his feet. Parker was in his crew. She was his responsibility and he wasn't going to let her die. He couldn't stand the thought of someone else dying under his watch.
He moved to where Parker was standing, a stoic look on her face despite everything going on around them. How she could stay so strong.... Leo had no idea. He himself was barely holding it all together. The world was ending after all.
"Let's go." Leo grabbed Parker's hand and the two began to run. The sound of their footsteps hitting the pavement was soon joined by gunfire behind them. Leo winced, but didn't look back. Parker's grip on his hand tightened. They had to run. They had to keep running no matter what. That wasn't as easy, however, when a scream cut through the night air. Leo tried to stop, but Parker pushed him onward.
"You can't stop now. He knew what he was doing."
"That do-" Leo cut off his sentence with his own scream as he was suddenly yanked to a stop.
"NO!" He yelled as he was shaken awake by the one and only Max. Still alive. Still fine. Leo looked around. He was at the station, sleeping in one of the beds in the living area.
"Leo, what the hell man?" His friend laughed and clapped Leo on the back causing Leo to jump a little. "You alright there? You're acting like it was the end of the world."
