- Just thinking about our track record in hotels. - What about it?

“Always. Except I don’t want to move.” She held his face and gently brushed her thumbs over his cheek bones. “I just want to keep kissing you and not move beyond that,” she chuckled. “And… Kerri and the kids… They’ll be okay here alone? But I also very much want to be in our bed with you.”
“Felix will be back soon enough. I think she’d understand me wanting to get you home. It’s been a long day.” Lucian lightly touched her cheek before pulling away. “Besides, she’s probably ready to get rid you anyway.” He teased with a laugh. “I’m going to tell her we’re going to head out. I’ll be right back.”
“Rude.” She gave his hand a light slap as she grinned at him. “Your sister loves me.” Parker flopped back, lounging on the couch now. “Just don’t take forever checking on Kerri. I’ll die of boredom if you don’t come back soon.” As he started forward the nursery, she turned her focus to her hands. She spent a few moments thinking on her dream, willing her skin to do what it had before.
Lucian was quick to say goodbye to Kerri and the kids, giving each of them a soft kiss on the forehead. His sister smiled softly at the kind gesture before peering out after him to say goodbye to Parker as well.
“You guys should come over for dinner sometime, alright? Or we can all four go out.” She suggested with a smile.

“Yeah… I think that’s a good plan.” She took his face in her hands and brought it close to hers. “You didn’t skip over that part where I was trying to say you helped me find my way out of the maze they made of my mind and emotions right? Because I would have been lost a lot longer without you. Finding you is the best thing to happen in my life.” She grabbed one of his hands and linked her fingers with his, squeezing tight. “I love you. With all of my heart I love you.”
“I… didn’t want to be arrogant for once and acknowledge it.” Lucian laughed softly as he squeezed her hand. “Thank you. I am proud to be the one to help you find your way.” He smiled happily at her. “I love you too.”
“You know I love your arrogance. It matches mine,” she laughed softly. “I just… I know you know. But… we don’t get mushy all that often and say it. With what’s been happening I just wanted you to hear it.” Parker grinned and left a light kiss on his lips. “Okay… I think I’ve let out all my serious thoughts. You have any?”
“I like when you’re all mushy. I have to admit that.” Lucian grinned as he played with her hair. “I…. don’t really have any serious thoughts. Just that I want to help you because I love you and you are the most important thing to me.” He lightly tapped her nose. “But you know that too.”
Parker nipped at his finger with a grin but got no where near it. “I do know. But I really like to hear you say it.” She kissed his cheekbone before nuzzling up against his chest. “And when you tell me I’m beautiful. I like to hear that too.” She held up here hand, waiting for him to take it. “You and I… we’re made for each other aren’t we?”
“There is no doubt in my mind that we were meant for each other.” Lucian said, completely serious. “I have been around in human form… for centuries, but for so much longer before that and I fully believe that I was given this form just so I could learn to be the person who is deserving of you and to be with you.” Lucian took her hand in his and pressed her fingers against his chest. “This heart beats for you.”
Parker sat up, her fingers still pressed against his chest. She curled her fingers into his shirt as she stared at him. It had been a rhetorical question. She knew he loved her just as much as she loved him, but his words still shook her. She stumbled over the words in her mind, trying to find something to say. All she could find were four words. “Fuck I love you.” She kissed him now with all the warmth she could bring forward. She drew out the kiss until her lungs ached. “With all of me. You’re who I am meant for who I’ve always been meant for…”
His chuckle at her words was quickly cut off by her kiss and he happily kissed her back. Lucian sat there a moment, running his fingers up and down her spine. “I’m glad we are on the same page on all of this then.” His hand moved from her back to lightly cup her cheek. “Ready to go home?”

Parker couldn’t help but chuckled against him. However, she groaned and pouted as he pulled her away to inspect her. She reached out and brushed her fingers along his face. “Because I’m very distracting,” she grinned. “Or maybe it was something dormant. But I’d prefer to say I’m just that amazing that I distract you so thoroughly.”
“You are incredibly distracting, that is no lie.” Lucian said with a smile. “I think it’s… your body isn’t old? It makes it more difficult to pick up on?” He considered her for another moment, now just appreciating her face. “You’re so beautiful…”
“That would make sense… The body I had in my dream, memory, whatever… It wasn’t this body and it wasn’t even a human body.” Parker spread her hands over his chest, radiating warmth from her fingertips, as she smiled. “So about this being beautiful thing… Tell me more.”
“You…. are distracting me again, when I’m trying to figure you out.” Lucian chuckled as he leaned in to kiss her. He smirked for a moment before whispering to her. “And maybe we should wait till we get home before I tell you more, what do you say about that?”
“You can’t multitask even just a little?” Parker chuckled now too and stole one last kiss from him. “I’ll make you a deal. You tell me one more time how beautiful I am, and I promise to be less distracting until we go home. If that doesn’t sound fair I’ll find a less distracting position and pout while you try to figure me out.”
“I guess that can be fair.” He laughed as he lightly played with her hair. “You, my fire, are the most beautiful woman to have walked this earth. I am lucky to be the man you love.” Lucian kissed her again, a little deeper this time. “Was that what you wanted to hear?” He asked in a whisper.
Parker melted into the kiss then into him as she curled her arms around him. At first she could only nod. “Mm-hm.” She rubbed the bridge of her nose against the line of his jaw then tucked her head under his chin. “Whether its the absolute truth or sweet flattery b.s. it’s exactly what i want to hear,” she chuckled softly.
“It’s sweet, it’s flattery, but it is not bullshit.” Lucian laughed as he held her tight against his chest. “I don’t know what you are exactly, but I’ll keep trying to figure it out, alright? ‘Cause I know you’ll be a lot happier knowing.”
“Yes I will. Thank you.” She began tracing their names along his arm with a soft warmth. “I just… I don’t want it to be something that ruins this life I’ve worked so hard to build.” She nuzzled against his chest as her finger continued its endless task. “Lu…” she lowered her voice to a soft whisper. “We have to find a way to hide our family. We can’t let The Foundation take any of them again. I don’t… I’m not…. That hopeless anger that kept me going… kept me fighting… led me to kill them… It’s gone. I don’t want to kill anyone else. And it doesn’t seem to really stop them… not even for long. It’s part of why I wanted to stay here with Kerri… I just want to protect. I don’t want to fight. So… we need to find a way to hid them.” She took a quiet breath then leaned up to kiss his cheek. “Sorry I’m still being serious Have a lot on my mind, Sexy.” She smiled softly at him.
“Hey, hey… if you need to talk, you can still talk. Just because I said we didn’t have to be serious… I always want to listen to you and help.” Lucian smiled at her, shifting to take her hands in his. “I get it. Anger is exhausting. You just want to live.” He kissed her finger tips lightly. “I’m not sure running is going to help. You guys have been on the run for so long…” He sighed before pressing his lips to her palm. “Maybe we can talk to Rom and Joel… there’s gotta be some way to expose these people once and for all.”
“Not run. Hide. But I like your thought process.” She reached for his face, running her thumb back and forth across his lips absently. “It’s not the tiring part of being angry that made me let go. It’s you.” Parker raised up and kissed him firmly, nearly trapping her thumb between their lips. “Loving you wanting a life with you, loving your sister wanting to actually be an aunt… Seeing what loving me ended up putting both you through… Anger just makes more anger. I just want some peace and you.”
“Peace... yeah, peace sounds pretty good. At least peace in that sense.” Lucian smiled at her. “I think... after this everyone is going to be okay with sitting down and having a serious conversation about what it is we can do. So once everyone recovers... we’ll do just that. You shouldn’t have to hide either.”
