Patrick Samonte

“If you want rewards, work for it.” Wise words spoken by one of Aflac of Torrance’s best agents. Patrick Samonte was laid off from his long career in hospitality and went on to work fro food service. Realizing that there were not many openings for him, he quickly changed gears. Once he began working for Aflac Torrance, he quickly realized that it would be easy to get discouraged, but rewards do not come easy and he “stuck with it.” His favorite part of the office is the camaraderie: the personal, intimate interactions with other agents the lead to out of the office happy hour! Being hired soon after Thanksgiving of 2015, he has become a favorite!

Carolyn Vonner

This Aflac Associate is new to the game and brings light and joy in the office. Carolyn Vonner joined the Torrance location on the twenty-third of March of this year. She considers her favorite memory at the Aflac Torrance being the day Steven Johnson hiring her. She loves to feed people, stating, “I made ceviche for the team and they loved it, and the joy it brought them brought me joy.” Meeting Carolyn for this agent spotlight was a great experience and the interns at Aflac look forward to getting to know her more.
