I'm so glad that the terms Born As [X] (BA[X]) and Assigned Femmasc At Birth / Assigned Mascfem At Birth (AFMAB / AFMFAB) exist. Because for me as someone who was born intersex and thus acknowledges myself as someone who's technically both a woman and a man (so gnarly, dude!), the terms AFAB or AMAB are too limiting, rigid and fragmented for me to use, and just as a whole, BA[X] and AFMAB are more accurate and closely aligned to how I acknowledge myself. And plus, in all tense and purposes, since I'm technically both a woman and a man, I really am pretty much AFMAB.
