Did it make your sins easier to bear? Playing make believe?
More old sketches I recently decided to finish hehe!!
Don’t make Tamtey consider the possibility of TAP having worked.
Been thinking about what a great character Nor is. (Yes he pisses me off, but hear me out)
Nor is handling the trauma of TAP very differently from Tamtey. He feels disconnected from Eywa, tainted by his past and upbringing within TAP. He makes several mentions of being uncomfortable connecting to the tarsyu and feeling like he would somehow taint the experience with his memories.
To some degree all of the Sarentu have that trauma, but we see them all adjust differently. Teylan leans hard into his human interests, the things that feel familiar to him. Ri’nela pursues her path as Tsahik and focuses more on her relationship to Eywa, and Tamtey embraces all of Pandora wholeheartedly.
Not completely isolates himself. At the beginning we find him alone, having wandered away from HQ.
He never visits the other clans, like Tamtey and the others do. To some degree that’s game mechanics, but he makes no mention of ever visiting any of the Na’vi camps or home bases.
His insecurity and self hatred prevent him from connecting, both to the Na’vi people and to Eywa. After he stabs Alma’s avatar, he goes off on his own and from what we gather from the newest DLC, he remained alone, trying to find his path.
Tamtey is the polar opposite. They connect with every clan they meet, walking the old steps of the Sarentu and learning about their customs and the customs of each group. They really embraced their community, and in doing so also brought the clans together as closer allies. All by just being open.
Nor is trying so hard to be his idea of Na’vi that he fails to acknowledge who he is, what he came from. He does not See yet.
I really hope that we get to see more of their relationship post From the Ashes. We didn’t get any real interaction between the two now that Nor has returned and I’m really interested in that contrast.
you’ve got a firm grip on my heart, you don’t know what you do to it. i’m so twisted and pulled by your spirit, there’s a reason i want to be near it.
i’m back again with yet another commission from the ever brilliant @ziorre for this piece of Ko’a and Nor… my beloved tragic couple. y’all know how i feel about them and im so obsessed with how it turned out and feels so on brand ♥️ thank you again for doing this!!!
Mercer just sitting there after murdering a child and stealing the one thing they had from their mother
