@aforestofcanons asked: Anything else you want to know? [from Samus to Data!]
invisible man // always accepting
INQUISITIVE EYES blink downward in consideration. He had already asked a handful of questions, and wondered briefly if he had yet.. reached a limit, of sorts. He decides to ask just one more. Perhaps one of a PRYING nature.. but one that intrigued him all the same. He was like a child in his line of questioning. Perhaps a little too straightforward at times, yet never with the intention of being RUDE. There was an INNOCENCE to him that was difficult not to notice, should one spend enough time with the android.
“Yes,” he begins, brows furrowing in contemplation... but raising once more as he brings the question to light. Lips part as he inhales; readying to ASK. But close once more (though only briefly)-- only to open again in renewed curiosity.
“From what I understand, your suit only enhances your overall physical capabilities. If that is the case, would it not be more efficient to remain INSIDE of it at all times? --Have you ever considered completely integrating yourself within it, or do you fear that in doing so, you may perhaps become.. LESS... of who you are? ” Data understood-- or, understood as much as he COULD-- the value humans placed on their.. well, humanity.
Many were opposed to doing anything that could cause them to become less of what they are-- human. For a moment, he’s faced with a mirroring internal question. If he, hypothetically speaking, were faced with a similar question or opportunity to integrate himself with something that would cause him to become more... human... if HE would choose to accept such a thing himself. To become less of who or what he is, to become more of what he wished to be like. He believes that he would accept such a thing. He would give anything, even at the cost of his ‘Superior Abilities’, to become more human. And if in accepting such a thing himself, he wonders if SHE would place the same value on her humanity... and in so doing, would choose to remain NOT integrated from her suit for that reason.
