USMC Crayon Eaters a Nickname of the Past?
If Marine Commandant David Berger has his way, the Marine Corps may become the “smartest” of the military branches. The USMC crayon eaters nickname may become a thing of the past. But it’s not just to brag about how smart they will be, it’s a move to create a more mobile force.

Can you get into the Air Force with the CHSPE certificate?
This is a question I tried to find the answer to on Google but unfortunately didn’t have much luck. So I thought I’d help other people out by saying that you actually CAN get in with the certificate. The following is the AFQT qualifying score for the Air Force that I got from my 2015 ASVAB test book:
“Air Force - minimum AFQT score of 36. Those who have earned their high school equivalency degree by taking the GED test or another equivalent test should have a minimum score of 65 to join or complete 15 hours of college credit.”
When I first read this I was worried my CHSPE certificate would be treated as equivalent to the GED but I talked to my recruiter and found out it won’t. So I only have to get an AFQT score of 36 (though my goal is much higher than that). If you have your GED then you need at least a score of 65 OR complete 15 college credits.
The other branches have similar rules and I’ll share those later if anyone wants.
Fuck yea 93 AFQT score!
Took my ASVAB test for career choosing purposes and got the results today... turns out I scored a 92 for my AFQT.
I seriously might look into the military now and just not fight front lines in battle. I don't know what the policy is on Type 1 Diabetics, though.
