Hestia: What would be a perfect home for you?
Honestly, I’m lucky as heck to be living in the perfect home for me. Built in 1921, spacious rooms, narrow hallways, wood floors, every room painted a different color, interesting art tucked in among the ‘willfully restrained’ clutter. My house is sunny yellow on the outside with rainbow flag flying, and I’ve turned a finished room in the basement into the mabcave. It’s the perfect home for a family of five introverts to cohabitate without getting in each other’s way.
We have taken in travelers at times, cover the room/board aspect while they find their feet in this crazy fucked up world. It’s a pretty chill home and I’m the dominant personality in it, but fortunately, my family doesn’t seem to mind.
Basically, my perfect home = space for alone time, people for when I want to social, colors of all kinds, trees all around to blend nature with city life, and if I have that, it’s perfect. And I’m voting for Bernie Sanders because it isn’t fucking fair that everybody doesn’t have what I do. I keep it in my sights to be thankful for what I do have and to share it with those who cross my path and could use a boost. (and vote for change so the access to human comfort and security is available to all people)
