ENTRY012: Imposter Syndrome and Waiting at The Bus Stop My bus is running extremely late and while the Transperth phone line is taking its sweet time to answer my call, here's a quick rundown of what happened. Phone just went, "You're currently call number 7 in the queue." While going through my work last night, I suddently felt a sense of imposter syndrome. It was confronting. My thoughts were all over the place and I was unnerved. "What makes you think you can do this?" "Just because you write, it doesn't make you a writer." "Please. You're not a published writer. You wish you were." And on and on, it went. I was paralysed for a moment, until I realised that I can only be who I want if I continue doing what I'm doing now. So what if I don't know how to do this, I can learn. So what if I'm not a writer, I am writing. So what if I'm not a published writer, I can continue to be. It's a never-ending loop of so what and you're not, but it was good practice. It was a good reminder that life is not just dictated by the moments I live, but by the moments I cboose not to let consume me. This was one of them. I'm not quite certain if I'm making sense, and if you're still reading, that's great. I'm currently number 5 on the queue now, so I'll end this here. Until next time.
