As usual, Afrikatown are throwing a BIG BLOCK PARTY to celebrate our community and neighbors and the fact that we are sticking to our promise to fight gentrification in Oakland. We deserve it, you deserve, so let’s celebrate that undeniable fact. The property owner served Afrikatown a preliminary injunction for trespassing (to be effective May 24th!) We urgently need your support for legal fees as well as the powerful punch of having everyone in town on our side. Save the date: Saturday, May 28th! This fundraiser will support potential court/legal costs!
