Good evening my friends❤️ Man! I’ve seen soooo much dope art and creativity in various forms from those of the #africandiaspora this week! I’ve learned an extraordinary amount from works of art created on canvases, stunning garments crafted with agile hands threading and piecing together rich fabrics, through movement of the body, fluid speech, and impactful words dripping from the wisdom of elders and ancestors that remain with us always. I am SO glad I made a commitment to myself to attend more events, specifically this month in celebration of my heritage, which is #historyforall Friends, when we learn about other #cultures or most importantly our own, pieces of you come together, forming an even more complete picture than existed before. I am healing. I am experiencing. I am embracing. I am becoming whole. Seek truth dear ones, it sets us all free, allowing us to better empathize, connect, and thus CHANGE the world into the beautiful space of love it was designed to be. 💕 . . . . . . . . #afrohistory #africanhistory #blackhistorymonth #bhm #blacklivesmatter #getwoke #heal #seektruth #loveoneanother #bethechange #artist #blackart #african #africanart #blackartists #blackartist #nyart #nyartists #dopethreads #africanattire #fashion #africanfashion #afrofashion #blackisbeautiful #blackandproud #blackintime #weeksvilleheritagecenter (at FIT School of Art and Design) https://www.instagram.com/p/B8U6o3MpEu9/?igshid=fdou90xad0ce
