There’s a mummified body of a monk chilling in the deeper parts of the Order’s hq. He’s been nicknamed ‘Steve’ and no one bothered to move him because he wasn’t really in the way. A lot of the members say ‘hi’ to him when they pass by and someone put on a cap and sunglasses on him. We’re 99% sure it was Dante.
Ora stumbled through the forest, her armor in tatters and her beloved RAM helmet left within the City walls, shattered and broken beyond repair now. She held her sidearm close as she tried to keep in stride with herself. She had to get out of here and find other survivors.
She felt frail, empty and not quite right as she held out her hand and tried to spawn in a vortex grenade. And when nothing came, her heart began to race and she balled her hand into a fist. She’d been walking for so long now that all the trees of this forest began to look the same.
“Everything... Everything is gone...”
She paused and looked around, weakly calling out in a vain attempt to contact someone who may be near.
Still so adorable and cute and loving even though she hates the cone and hates the meds ❤💜💚💙 The stitches come out in about a week and idk if the vet will want her to keep using the cone or not. I hope not, she refuses to eat with it on so I take it off to let her eat and spend the whole time watching her like a hawk so she doesn't scratch or paw at the stitches.
This is her "gives me the belly rubs" position and its adorable and I can't resist it ever.
Yugi sat, bundled in a blanket, his breathing was still ragged, but his fever was broken and the poison was slowly working its way out of his system. Still, appetite hadn’t come back to him, he was just going to keep sipping tea.
A few leaves crunched underneath her bare feet as Viviane walked through the forest of Camelot. The air was wet and cold, it was kind of chill that seeped into your bones and seemed impossible to chase away. Her mind was clouded with thoughts of bloodshed from the attack, but she tried to push them away and leave them behind her as she wandered deeper into the forest. There was mist reaching between the trees like a ghostly hand as she made her way to a tall hawthorne tree. There, she stopped.
You were once my one companion
Then my world was shattered
She pressed a pale hand against the trunk of the tree. The first time she had come to visit him she’d cut her finger on the throns, but by now she knew every branch and every leaf better than she knew her own mind. She had imagined that she would be able to sense him somehow, that she would feel his presence near her, but she had cast her spell too well. There could be no mistakes, no chance that the poison might continue it’s deadly task, and now everything that was once Merlin was gone. She knew his soul was trapped somewhere inside, but she could not feel him. It left her feeling tired and hollow.
Wishing you were somehow here again
Wishing you were somehow near
In the silence and the cold of the forest, Viviane finally wept. She wept for the man she loved, seemingly lost to her forever. She wept for her son and his deception. She wept from the pain of feeling as if a sword had pierced her chest a hundred times, and she wept for the pain of those who had lost their loved ones in the battle. Her body shook with each sob and she sank to her knees, leaning against the trunk of the tree as she finally allowed herself to break.
Too many years fighting back tears
Why can't the past just die?
Caleia had left, Arthur was away, and Merlin was gone. Merlin would have known what to do. He could have done so much more. If she closed her eyes she could imagine him looking at her with his kind blue eyes, little crinkles forming around the corners as he smiled down at her. She wondered if he could see her, if he could hear her cries from somewhere within the tree. She doubted it. His soul was burried deep within her magic, and even if it were possible she would not want him to hear. She would not want him to suffer on her behalf.
Try to forgive, teach me to live
Give me the strength to try
In that moment she wondered if she had made the wrong choice. Fear crept up inside of her, like a snake slither up her throat and making it difficult to breathe as she considered that he might have wanted to let him die. No. She gasped, shivering. Her eyes turned hard and cold as a cold breeze dried her tears. To hell with what he would have wanted. She was not ready to say goodbye, and she was not going to let him go.
