Malec AU with Superheroes, BUT!!!! Also with like backstory for Asmodeus becoming a good dad to Magnus (after a while) Okay, think Iron Man. Basically Tony Stark's origin story for Asmodeus, what with being rich and a playboy and making weapons and getting kidnapped and tortured and then getting free and all that. Okay? BUT, think that before all of that, Asmodeus did manage to impregnate one of his one night stands, and paid them off and gave up parental rights cause he didn't want anything to do with the kid. After the traumatizing events however, his perspective on a lot of things changed, and now he wants to reconnect with his son. As in Magnus. By that time, Magnus is either an older teen or young adult. And in one word, unenthused about half his dna wanting to be in his life now. And okay, I give, my idea probably centers more about the reconnecting between Magnus and Asmodeus in these circumstances and I have no idea about how to bring in Alec and if there are other superheroes there Avengers style, but… I have no real arguments. I was just stuck with the thought of Iron Man like Asmodeus and him wanting to make amends towards the son he had neglected all his life. ….

Being tough was the greatest act of survival in my midnight and lavender life. (I always thought it ironic that you hit me with the Bible, as if God already didn’t knife me in the back during my descent, my fall to cradle my lover’s sweet face in my hands.)

But being gentle was the greatest gift I ever gave myself. How to Be a Good Partner to Someone Who's Experienced Sexual Trauma

"Let your partner tell you about types of touch that are triggering.”

Before starting to date again after a sexual assault, it’s wise to talk to a mental health professional about what you may be feeling, says Stephanie McIver, a psychologist and the director of counseling services at the University of New Mexico. “Work with someone who can help you identify safety and trust issues with someone new,” she adds. “Establish safety and trust before disclosing information about a prior sexual assault experience so that you can also share what your current thoughts are about it—and what you know you'll need from that new partner in order to continue to feel safe.”

For those who want to be a good partner to someone who’s gone through this type of trauma, know that his or her post-traumatic stress symptoms can arise at any time, so it’s important to understand how to react with respect and sensitivity. McIver shared several tips with me, which I’m here to offer to anyone who wants to be a supportive partner to someone who’s experienced sexual assault.
