rewatching the second half of s3 & damn lines like “[claudia] will be a valuable asset.” “she is not an asset. she is my daughter.” rlly do make ya thonk abt how viren’s a really interesting antagonist because he sees himself as the furthest thing from a villain & genuinely cares about his family & about his kingdom but he also just has the moral backbone of a chocolate eclair, he will do literally anything it takes to achieve his goals & gain the power he deems necessary for said goals all while maintaining that it’s for the greater good, that the ends justify the means, & all while still genuinely caring about people & believing he is doing what’s best for everyone.
sure is fucked that a part of the fandom look at this man’s daughter & go “actually she’s the bad guy” :)
