in the united states racialized groups are significantly more at risk to develop asthma, due to a whole host of reasons that essentially boil down to systematic racism. this leans into personal headcanon territory but also ALL of this is headcanon so let's do it: in my eyes johnny is Muscogee (Indigenous) and the rate for all Indigenous peoples are also horrifically amplified

asthma is also more common in poor communities/households in general which makes sense with the greasers living in such an area

Personally what I'm enjoying most about the anime of yohaji are the little details and winks that would probably go unnoticed by most non-manga readers.

It's Sano smiling softly while looking at a cheerful Mame, or Satsuki's reactions being different from others and smiling when everyone else is not.

It's Haruaki using as examples for his literature class, sailor uniforms and being scolded by Sano, it's the design of bellflower flowers in the Abe house.

It's Tama's 38 test that Haru proudly shows in the OP.

Like when I notice all of this I can't help but smile.

I'm not stupid. I know every comic interaction between slade and rose will always be fucked up. Its a pipe dream to think it will ever be ok. I mean it would take A LOT OF WRITING AND FIXING to fix Slade and roses relationship. And it's sadly just too plauged by past comics. Like this shit right here?

Hate it. Absolutely hate it. Its just another thing I find wrong with preist. He basically kicked Lilian worth outta the picture then instead of idk trying to make Slade a better dad he turns him into your average abusive jackass I don't care about you dad. family gathering so vast that we are meeting other young people & there's just no way to explain how my brother&i + the girl cousins are related so we just say we're cousins and then they're like "how do you know [birthday aunt]" okay well let's just say we are all related to her long-deceased husband somehow or the other don't even worry about the specifics and please don't start asking follow up questions but we DO know her and she does like me i'm pretty sure and she is like besties w my grandma (they're sisters in law) so if we're competing for who knows her best i won't win but i've at least earned my spot at the party. we've played a lot of Rummikub together and that definitely counts for something
