Deathstroke: The Terminator (2026) #2
They remembered Roy and Rose's friendship but in a shitty story
have you watched Deathstroke knights and dragons?
Hey there, thanks for the ask!
No, I haven't.
I have seen a few gifs and screenshots here and there, though, and there is one thing I genuinely appreciated: Even with Slade's white hair, Rose is still clearly drawn as a half-Asian woman, and her Asian features aren't erased just to make her look like a female version of Slade.
Fun fact-in the possible future where Superman's son went mad and killed many superheroes, Garfield Logan married Rose Wilson, Deathstroke's daughter. Together they had a daughter named Red.
the family jewels the most rose wilson song ever
I'd love to write a JayRose wedding fic just for the dramaaaaa like imagine Batman and Deathstroke realising they're going to have to be a family and trying to be civil throughout the ceremony
The guest list would be a nightmare, the seating plan would be a nightmare. Rose and Jason would argue over whose wedding party Dick would be in ("He was my mentor!" vs "He's my brother????"), Joey would probably start possessing people at some point just because, the wedding would inevitably be crashed by some assassin Slade or Adeline hired
There would also be cute stuff like Lian being one of Rose's bridesmaids. Roy could be Jason's best man too. It would be so sweet but also chaotic
Finally read Knightfight #4 and honestly the fact that Jason and Rose actually have a child together is what sells me on that world being 'perfect' more than anything else. Because they both had pretty messed up childhoods, and I'm certain neither of them would even consider having a child unless they were completely sure the world they were bringing that kid into was safe for then to grow up in. It's not only a version of Gotham that doesn't need Batman, it's a version of Gotham where people who'd been through so much trauma could let their guard down and heal and build a family and a future
somebody on twitter pointed this out weeks ago how slade technically made tanya a placeholder for rose….right after he pushed her away deliberately (again) and gave her a fake, hired hmong family so she should have a home completely separate and away from him bc that’s what she wanted… “dear heart, your father merely wanted to give you what you wanted.” something other than him….and yet he still looks for her everywhere he goes
