Tired and exhausted of people assuming that I'm a minor because my source-self in a minor.

Yes I'm very close to canon, however time still passes here AND in that canon and so I age with the body. I'm done with being treated like a teenager. I'm done with the perceived power imbalances and the condescension and everything.

I'm twenty fucking two. I'm not some rowdy teenager anymore. I'm a rowdy adult, and I'm not being treated like one.

Can I say that its very difficult being an adult in the fictionfolk community? And especially not just an adult but someone who is ostensibly ""old"" as a still active participant in the alterhuman community in general.

General alterhuman spaces, and Fictionfolk spaces in veneral, really still seem to skew so young its hard not to sometimes feel awkwardly removed from the community.

It genuinely feels like all the 20+ kins have left tumblr. I go into the kin tag and it is filled with very young teenagers, which is absolutely fine and they deserve a space, too, but where have the rest of us gone? Where is everyONNNNNEEEEEEE? It's so hard to form friendships as an adult, full stop, but trying to find people near my own age in kin spaces is even harder. I just want community. I am almost 30 and it feels like time has just run out. Everyone has just vanished.
