Rivals: 1966 (Marlene&Mark)
Mark was the middle kid.
He had his elder brother Nick who to be quite honest he was a little frightened of. Maybe that was the wrong word but he was definitely intimidated by him. He was so much older and already a grown up. Mark did see him a little as a role model, he looked up to Nick.
Then there was Charlie. He was a little older than Nick but that didn’t bother him too much. Charlie was fun to irritate. For a while, with Nick being absent he copied what Charlie would do. He believed that was the way you did things. That was until he found it was much more fun to annoy him.
Mark was content with that lifestyle. He had a baby sister but that didn’t matter. He could brush that off. She didn’t phase him much. Until he got older and she replaced him as the baby. It was as if once he could stand on his own two feet his parents let go of his hand and focused on his younger siblings. Not to mention Ben. He didn’t even want to think of him getting older.
He could be quite a jealous boy when he wanted to he. Mark was a mummy’s boy through and through so when she was paying more attention to his younger siblings that him he resented them.
A lot of his trust was put into the black Staffordshire bull terrier, Max. He adored that dog so much, they did everything together. Including annoy Marlene by every means possible. She was the girl. She was the only one different to them. That meant she was the enemy. In his eyes, if he got rid of the magnet for attention it would then bounce back to him and he could live his life as normal.
Mark had done everything to irritate her. That included currently digging up worms to hide in her bedsheets.

“Get out of my way!” The maskless child practically shoved the stranger to the side, glancing behind only briefly, before dodging around the corner. He breathed, and hid in the next doorway, closing his eyes as he took long, deep breaths.
He had dropped the bit of food. The only bit of food he had managed to get his hands on in a week. And he had lost the piece of cloth, too, the only thing preventing people from seeing his deformity. He was certainly done for now. If not by hunger, then by people assuming that he was a monster, and attempting to kill him on sight.
Jamaar was walking around Kingston looking for his next mark, stomach growling. He has desperate to get some money, to sate his hunger . It was not long until he saw a good mark. A girl that was two years older that him and was obviously a tourist. Jamaar smiled as he walked towards her, bumping into her. In the second that he bumped into her he used his energy enhanced speed to pick her pocket and slip her wallet in his pocket. “My bad.” He said as he attempted to quickly walk off.

Little Kaja was moaning and groaning as she carried a huge stack of PADDs through the aisles of Voyager. She could barely see anything, but she tried to. Nevertheless she bumped into someone and dropped all her PADDs. "Oh noo!", she cried out, immediately bending down to collect her stuff: "I'm very, very sorry,", she looked up and noticed ensign Kim: "siiir.", she hardly managed to finish her word. With wide eyes she looked at him, swallowing hard. She haven't met him jet, thus she feared he'd be angry with her. ---- ensignkim
Amanda Marshall - Dark Horse
This is one of those songs that always ended up on the in-store radio when I was at the mall. My mum would take me to the same place we went every Friday, we'd have the same dinner, and then she'd let me loose to wander around and eventually come find her. I only ever caught parts of this song, and only ever at the mall, so all I really knew about it was the chorus's melody - at home I would try to remember the lyrics, inevitably fail, and then come up with my own lyrics depending on how I felt.
I don't remember any of the fake lyrics, just that they were better than the real ones. Nine years later my girlfriend decided that this should be one of our songs, three months before we broke up.
Age 8, What's your favorite thing in the whole wide world?
Easy.
"My mama."
