what are the ways my muse says ‘i love you’ without actually saying it? most prominently, imra shows it in little gestures like hand holding whenever it is possible, quick, stolen kisses, and declarations that don’t necessarily say ‘i love you’ but have the same meaning ( for example ‘i trust you’ ).

when did my muse go on their first date?at the age of 14, imra went on her first date with a girl ( mayra ) she met at her school. they had been only friends at that time, although it was mayra who made imra question her sexuality. spending time with her just felt so right and she developed feelings for her that went deeper than friendship. she never told her anything about it, until mayra asked imra out on a date. at first she also just said it would be going out as friends but later that evening both admitted they liked each other a little more than they originally thought and it turned into their first date which ended with them both watching the stars and ultimately kissing each other for the first time. unfortunately, mayra and her family moved away shortly after and they couldn’t see each other anymore.

“so if it’s not bad enough that you keep alien prisoners hidden away in the darkness, your own sister must be too?” a smirk reaches kara’s lips as she presses her forehead against the glass of the contained cage she now finds herself in. her breath practically ragged from the weight of lena’s amplified kryptonite that shines upon her. she stares for a moment, eyes lingering upon those of alex danvers and trying desperately to read them. to find that tick that would have her crack beneath a weighted conscious. hand lifts to thump against the glass, posture changing in an instant; though, smile never falters. “i love you kara” she says, eyes watered and lip trembling. ha. we both knew it was a matter of time before you chose the job over me,” she pushes herself from the glass then, arms outstretched. “congrats, sis, you caught the best of the best.” kara pauses then, eyes lowering and cheeks flaring fluorescent red, “now what?”

       UNCOMFORTABLE is a tame word for what she’s feeling right now. she’s heard of the deo, sure, even consulted on a phone call a time or two, but actually being there ? she’s reminded of why mulder avoids them like the plague. when a woman approaches, looking at least SOMEWHAT IN CHARGE, scully steps forward. ❝ excuse me, i’m special agent dana scully with the fbi. i was...asked to come here, though the reasons were all very...murky. i don’t exactly do well with MURKY. ❞

Schott Family Picnic - Age 7

It was a surprisingly nice day in National City, and Winn wasn't about to complain. For a seven year old a nice day was something that he always looked forward to and loved. The rain made everything worse, and he never wanted to play in the rain. Too cold. But the sun was up and his mom had the picnic basket in her hand. It was going to be a good day.

Holding his mother's hand, Winn followed his parents to the park where they usually shared their Sunday picnics. It was always his favorite time of the week, when he would get to play basketball with his dad, or his mom would push him on the swings. They were happy and Winn couldn't help but look forward to the weekly tradition.

After eating the sandwhiches and salad, Winn ran from their picnic blanket, tugging on his dad's hand to get him to go towards the playground. "Let's go down the slide!" The young boy shouted as he ran up the stairs. "It's so fast." A smile as he sat on the plastic slide and pushed himself down.  Standing at the bottom on the slide, Winn laughed as he watched his dad go down the slide.

After what felt like hours, Winn could feel himself getting tired. But he didn't want to go home, he wanted to stay and play all day. But the sleepiness won as he sat next to his parents on the blanket. His mom started cleaning up their lunch mess, placing everything back into the basket before they got up to leave. "Can I have a piggy back ride?" Winn asked as he looked up at his dad.

A smile rested on the older man's face, bending down as he responded with a yes. Climbing onto his back, Winn put his head down on his dad's shoulder, closing his eyes lightly. "You're the best dad ever."

She felt bad,  guilty almost.  Agent Danvers  —  who was usually working to take down the bad guys, or helping out Supergirl  —  had been left to look after her while everyone else was trying to fix her super villain Mom.  “Sorry…”  Ruby murmured, as she looked down at the ground for a moment.  She missed her Mom, she missed her old life.  She had complained for so long about Sam not being around enough for her, but she would take a work-a-holic Mom over having no Mom  ( or an evil one )  any day.  “I didn’t mean to wake you, I just can’t stop thinking about my Mom.”  She also couldn’t help but wonder if she had the same evil side to her.

“  well don’t be.  ”   maybe they are overly harsh words,   but it doesn’t stop them from falling from alex’s lips.   “  i’m  f i n e—  ”    it’s not the truth,   anyone who knew her would know that.   “  there’s nothing to worry about.  ”

lena barely holds back a sigh.   she may not be an expert at reading people,   but she can at least tell when someone isn’t as ‘fine’ as they claim.   they certainly aren’t best friends,   but alex is her best friend’s sister,   and that makes her important to lena too.   “ you don’t have to talk about it.   i won’t push.   but if there’s anything i can do...   okay?  ”

        SCULLY’S HESITANT when she steps into the lab at the deo. it’s a bit of an embodiment of everything she hates: a government organization she doesn’t trust, sterile and cold settings, and being kept in the dark. she wants to help, and after some prodding from the press secretary, she’d agreed, but she doesn’t like being here. ❝ agent alex danvers ? ❞ she knows the younger woman’s relationship to supergirl, but has already committed herself to getting to know alex as alex first. she knows better than anyone what it’s like to be ‘so and so’s sister’. ❝ special agent dana scully, fbi. director henshaw had me brought in to help you analyze some...strange findings ? ❞
