very late discussion group! i’m going as the mad hatter with my bestie as the march hare and my bf as alice :3c fave fall drink is hot chocolate, snack is those little halloween shaped pretzels, and activity is going to a pumpkin patch and carving jack o lanterns!!! bc me and my friends usually watch “spooky movies” while we do! obvs most common color in the wardrobe is black, followed by white or red! and a number with meaning i’ve assigned is maybe 3? it’s my other lucky number besides 7

where’s the place to Hang as a disillusioned teen in the batt city slums?

It depends on your preferred flavor of rebellion!

The armed concrete supports that hold up the Lobby train tracks are a graffiti hotspot, and unless you're nearby a train station scarecrows virtually never bother you. The base of the supports is almost constantly peeling off in chunks of paint and old posters, and seeing rather ingenious ladder alternatives is not unusual, but there are a few synthetic animals that got their names up at the top of the supports and that's beyond impressive because a. that implies working from the top down and b. ropes tied to tracks and trains do not mix well.

A hangout spot among especially juvie kids is outside convenience stores or pawn shops on the strip mall ring because loitering is inevitable around convenience stores (much like having 'crows get on your case for loitering) and more often than not someone's cousin's brother's uncle's friend's kid ends up holding over the more shady pawn shops (which are ironically the ones which do best because upper district citizens go nuts for the dingy back alley gimmick), so you get to talk shit about rich people together <3

Less of a set spot, but any drag race. Literally anything goes from cars against bikes to modded pods against hotwired scarecrow detention vans. Chances are 50/50 you'll either get decked or meet a really cool person by the time 'crows catch wind of the race and you have to either fly south or go after them to fuck shit up and help out the racers. There's no other rule to participating other than that you have to bring your own vehicle and no trying to get each other totaled. Routes are often decided on the spot, though, so losing your opponent is 100% fair play.

If you're looking for something less prone to get you shipped back home or to a re-adjustment facility, then there's more than plenty roller rinks around the Lobby to spend your credits on skates, tooth-rotting sweet soda, and/or derby bets. It's hard to tell what the specifics of each rink are, but after a while you learn which one exclusively plays pre-war hair rock bands, which also doubles as a venue, which doesn't announce its derbies resulting in derby queens just pushing everyone out at random, etc.

Outside the Lobby, you usually find the book clubs, radio clubs and such which are hosted in the shelter of the few abandoned buildings still standing (and barely at that). These are usually some of the rarest hangout spots because they are group specific, but that doesn't quite mean they're not popular as said groups can go up to 12 people and above. The book club, as the name suggests, is for reading banned literature and sharing original stories, poetry, plays etc., the radio club is listening in on Zone stations and getting news around to zine-makers, and so on.

Down in the Slums being part of a group is far more important than doing everything on your own as BL/i encourages

discussion group! :^) i don’t have a halloween costume planned, but i already have like 75% of a party poison costume, i might just do that (still need to paint my raygun and make a holster). currently looping…..weightless by all time low…….it’s so cheesy and it sounds like an anime opening but i still like it. fave shade of pink is hot pink!! i love a lot of dresses but there’s only a certain shape or cut i can wear without feeling dysphoric
