The fun thing with Killjoy names is the way you can use them to influence character and mannerisms like. The Kobra Kid hisses out his words and Party Poison is teeming with energy and Jet-Star lights up a room and Fun Ghoul shrieks when he's in pain. The Girl is young and innocent. Cherri Cola has something oddly artificial about him. Dr. Death Defying is probably the oldest Killjoy in the Zones. Val Velocity never stops to think about his actions. Show Pony is a performer.

Their names influence who they are and how they move and speak. Which is so fuckin fun

the killjoys timeline is so fucked up but i cannot stop thinking about how if in the comics the fabulous four really were teenagers when they died then cherri cola would have been the only one of them to reach his twenties. there's about twelve years between their deaths and the start of ttlotfk, so the girl was hardly an adult and in all respects still a teenager herself. she would’ve been just as old or only a bit older than they all lived to be. cherri cola on the other hand would've only been in his late twenties and still looking far too old and world weary for his age. imagine it. there’s the girl, just as old or maybe even a bit older than the fabulous four all lived to be, and then there’s cherri, the lone surviving member of the original fabulous killjoys, the last one left standing when the dust all settles. did he bear the weight and age of all those years the four never got to see on his shoulders? his eyes, once bright, now tired and sunken but still just as kind as the girl remembers them, the old scars now mottled with rough tissue from years old sunburn healed over, dark circles and worry lines and eyes that haven’t known peace ever since the trans am tore off into the desert sunset that day so long ago.

imagine how cherri cola would've seemed so old to the girl because she's never seen a killjoy live that long before. imagine cola being barely an adult himself and still seeming far too old for his age.
