“I’m fine. I’m fine.” Runa waved a hand tiredly barely looking up from the battered antique book. She’d be reading for how many hours now? The sound of her stomach growling clued in anyone near by that it had been a while since she’d eaten. “I think. Maybe I’m tired or maybe the author wrote the glyph for parrot seven times.”

In a perfect world Runa wouldn’t have to deal with potentially shady antiques dealers, but this world was very far from perfect and the man she’d been set to meet to verify a very old book that had more than likely been gained through illegal means.
Her reasoning that she’d be liberating it from the shadows and putting it to good use, research. However her day was not simple either, her contact was currently in a choke hold by another hunter.
“Uhm, I really hate to be a bother. But can you let me have him for twenty minutes?” Runa respected most other hunters, for the most part they were good people dedicated to their own causes. She had her own cause and currently this hunter was interfering with hers.
“Are you crazy? It’s too dangerous!”
“Says the man who took on an entire mafia himself.” Runa responded as she took a step out on to the narrow ledge. “Besides, I’d much rather risk a fall than suffocate in a fire. At least that death would be quicker.”
The origin of the fire was unknown but it had trapped them both on the upper levels of the building. To be fair she’d rather dealing with breaking her neck than be in another fire ever again.
I haven’t interacted much with agentdancer or the-treasure-hunter-and-the-dogs , but WOW they LOOK SO COOL.

She was used to comments about her age, while it was flattering, it tended to get annoying after a while. Though this time, she simply brushed it off. “Is there something I can help you with?”
