fifty.... nine..... chapters..... O_o it's christmas time
I only have, like... forty-six and a half written so far, though! So that’s just a guess. Also Christmas is going to be running about twice a week for ... at least the next twenty-three weeks?

So in addition to having its own fandom, Down to Agincourt has its own library of fanfic. And what kind of mods would we be if we did not live up to Castiel of Chitaqua’s legacy and attempt to chronicle said library? We have tried to use some kind of reference system, splitting the fics up depending on how closely related to canon they are.
If there are any obvious omissions or new additions to the collection, let us know! There is also a handy group on AO3 of some of the many DtoA fanworks, including a load of the art to fulfill all your DtoA fic-finding needs.
Canon-adjacent and deleted scenes
Canon-adjacent
“Harry Takes The Field“ by bratfarrar: This had to be included, for obvious reasons. Shakespeare-inspired poetry goodness, plus the source of DtoA’s title. Some meta and a video reading of this have resulted.
“Patrol Report: Phil, 5 of 7″ and “Phil Psalms” by spearywritesstuff: Phil’s increasingly wistful patrol reports and poetry regarding a certain fallen angel. Complete with moon allegories.
“Life Before Chitaqua: Phil” by spearywritesstuff: Aka the story of what Phil was doing before the Apocalypse happened which involves his own doomed love affair. Phil really doesn’t have much luck in love.
“The Great Snuggie War” by AgentFreeWill: Inspired by a moment from “It’s the Stars that Lie”, but can be read as a stand-alone fic. Cas buys far too many Snuggies and Dean gets mad. Hilarity ensues.
“Down to Agincourt Comment Fic Snippets” by MollyC: Assorted ficlets which have happened in the DtoA comments.
“De Profundis” by MollyC: One of Molly’s comment fics that ultimately ended up turned into a longer fic. Very much inspired by the comments on Chapter 6 of “It’s the Stars that Lie”.
“Hippo Haiku” by spearywritesstuff: An extract from the epic so belovedly written by Hippofucker.
Deleted Scenes
“Strike Three” by livinginthequestion: Aka the one where Kyle gets what’s coming to him. Takes place around Day 152.
“Vera is not a Goddam Camp Counsellor” by spearywritesstuff: Imagined scene after Vera’s night out with Cas in “A Thousand Lights in Space”. Vera ships it.
“What Joseph saw” by AgentFreeWill: Joseph's POV for Map of the World, Chapter 8, Day 33. Joseph also ships it. Basically everyone in the camp thinks they’re dating before they actually are, though, so...
Opposition by aerialiste: PWP between Chapters 2 and 3 of “A Thousand Lights in Space”. Castiel has some alone time in the shower.
Alternate Universe
“Anywhere on This Road” by MollyC: Started out as this PWP ficlet then evolved into DtoA endverse. Basically, what would happen if Cas had been affected when the angels left and Jimmy Novak was stuck in the middle of the Apocalypse. Needless to say, a fair few DtoA character favourites end up dying earlier than they deserve and some scenes go down a little differently. You will cry.
The Great Snuggie War (2k words) by AgentFreeWill
Rating: General Audiences
Characters: Castiel, Dean Winchester, Bobby Singer
Tags: No Slash, they're fighting ok, Retail Therapy, disrespect of possessions, firey retaliation, implied Dean/OFC, Bobby Singer Deals With Idjits, Down to Agincourt, Endverse
Summary: Cas engages in some late night retail therapy, Dean gets mad.
Timestamp which takes place before the events of 5x04 but after the timeline split. (Sometime before endverse Sam said yes to Lucifer, but after Sam and Dean stopped talking to each other.) Cas has not yet fallen.
Based on a conversation Dean and Cas had in It's The Stars That Lie, chapter 6. Contains one other very minor Down To Agincourt spoiler, but can be read as a standalone story.
Cas ignores him and shakes out a blue-and-yellow zebra-striped Snuggie. He holds it out. “You may have this one, Dean; I have plenty.” Dean wonders if Gabriel is laughing in the hall.
OH MY GOD Y’ALL IT IS CRYLAUGHINGLY FUNNY
(Also, it turns out that the more you look at pictures of Snuggies™, the more hysterically disconcerting the whole concept becomes—and the more they start to look like ritual robes for some bizarrely cozy Satanist ceremony, performed mostly by blonde people. Turns out that of course you can, should you desire such a thing, procure the turquoise cheetah print, via etsy (suggest we all chip in to buy matching ones for seperis and agentfreewill). And, while there is indeed a lovely plaid for Bobby, exactly as described, he might like the camo one, too—maybe for Insert Winter Holiday of Your Choice?)

the redshirt in the last ep was made blind (again) before he was killed. That seemed symbolic.
Yup, that is what I was talking about when I started watching the episode as well here. There’s a lot to be said about this motif. :) Wish I had more time now, but oh well... It’s a work day like any other. ;___;
canon compliant destiel - A winter's tale by NorthernSparrow. It will rip your heart out and leave it whimpering on the ground and you will never watch season 9 the same way again. all pre-slash with a destiel coda if you want it. This is the story I would recommend to cast and crew to read if any of them ever asked me (ha) for a fanfic rec. This is the fic I would rec to any GA viewer curious about fanfic. SO GOOD.
