tbh i’m not doing very good. today’s just been one of those days, y’know? thank you for asking, though :)

1: Talk about the first time you watched your favorite movie.

okay, so the movie in question is 10 things i hate about you. i’m not really sure how i even found out about this movie, but i think i started watching the abc family show (that was unfortunately canceled) before the movie. and then i found out it was based on a movie, which was based on a shakespeare play, which kinda just sealed the deal for me. it took forever to find the dvd (a bootleg, haha) and when i finally found it and got to watch it i just... i fell in love instantly? i fell in love with the humor and kat’s sass and young jgl and heath ledger’s performance in the greatest cheesy romantic gesture ever. i watched it on a loop for like a week. by now, i can recite the whole movie by heart.

8: Talk about the thing you are most proud of.

i’m not really sure i can find that thing i’m most proud of yet... but when i was a senior in high school, i was one of the editors for the school paper, and our moderator signed us up for the district journalism competition. i was in the copywriting category (which is basically proofreading) and i won 3rd place in the district! i only made it to 5th in regionals, so i didn’t advance to nationals, but that’s been my biggest achievement so far, so...

17: Talk about someone you want to be friends with.

i want to be friends with any and all of my followers. i want to get to know you guys and just build more relationships bc the friends i’ve already made on this site are just wonderful. i’m a lot pickier when it comes to non-online friends though.

8. what musical artists have you most felt connected to over your lifetime?

the first person who popped into my head was taylor swift. every single song of hers points back to a significant moment in my life, even when i couldn’t entirely relate to it. even the evolution of her music. idk if she influenced how i grew up but i often feel like i grew up with her.

11. describe your ideal day.

okay so as much as i complain about how it’s practically typhoon season year-round in my country, on my ideal day it would be raining. after playing in the rain i would be curled up in front of the tv with a cup of tea and marathoning period films/bbc period miniseries.

1. Talk about the first time you watched your favorite movie.

I don’t remember, I know my granddad got me it on video when I was really little (it’s Toy Story) and I’ve loved it ever since. But no, I don’t remember the first time I watched it.

17.Talk about someone you want to be friends with.

I can’t think of a specific person, but recently I just want to be around simpler people than I have in the past. I’m tired of being friends with people who make stuff up to make our friendship more interesting. I want to be friends with someone I can just talk to, I don’t expect people to be drama free, but some down time would be nice. 

36. Talk about your guilty pleasures.

Oh God…I really like The Vamps and I feel like at 21 I probably shouldn’t, they’re like 12 aren’t they? Oh and pizza and milk chocolate, I keep eating it even though I know it will make me feel awful. Should probably stop, but nope. 

39. Talk about things you wish you’d known earlier.

People aren’t as scary as you’d think, I spent so long with the same 4 friends and I thought I was set, but people are pretty cool. Some are bitchy, rude, and plain ignorant, but not all.

Along the same lines, other people are nervous when you first meet them to give them time to chill out and get to know them properly before you write them off. 

You aren’t wasting people’s time if you need help or you want to move on from where you are, and asking for help isn’t rude. So if you’re in pain or sick go to the doctors, if you don’t know the answer ask someone, and if you want to learn something as for help. People that don’t help you are shit, not you. 

And, although I’ve said all that stuff above, some people are exhausting, they use up your time and wear you down. You don’t have to keep them around, you owe them nothing. You will feel bad, but if they treat you like something on the bottom of their shoe then it’s their behaviour that’s got them here. It is not your fault. 

I’ve got to constantly remind my self of those things so I don’t curl up into a ball and hide away from the world. And I have to keep repeating the last one to myself, one day I’ll follow my own advice and cut certain people out
