If one looked closely enough (in fact, they didn't really have to look all too closely at all), they would notice that Margot Verger wasn't really present in our world at the current time, and was more enthralled with the creations of her mind more than anything else. It just so happened that she was in the presence of another at the time, and she had almost completely forgotten.

"Mmm…. yes. Is that okay?" Alana, even though Will hadn’t yet answered, was already rifling through his drawers for some boxers and a shirt. "I’m going to steal pajamas from you."

"That’s the cheesiest pickup line I’ve ever heard."

Will’s smile was small and brief, raising his eyes to Alana. He didn’t know what she wanted, but didn’t know what to say either.

  "Well, I'm not smooth, so I figured I'd have to get to you somehow. What do you say?"

She was, in all honesty, just looking for a date. Alana had to know what it would be like, and otherwise wanted to spend some time with Will. If he really didn't want any romance to be involved, she'd hold it back.

It was probably nothing, just an odd sense of deja vu, but it was best to say something in case it wasn't.

25. Our muses comforting each other during a thunderstorm

She’s been wandering around the middle of nowhere, when the rain started pouring down on her. At first it was amazing letting the water just kind of drench her. She’d kept walking for about half an hour, drenched to bone as the expression went. Walking up to a strangers house, as lightning and thunder began to make the poor woman jump.

Knocking on the door, and hearing dogs barking inside she timidly stood on the front porch praying someone was at home. After waiting a moment, she raised her hand and went to knock on the door one more time.
