guughguhgugh writing a reflective essay on body image and i remember the time in 3rd grade where a parent volunteer would tell me during lunch that i was 'too skiny' and 'ate like a bird' and that i needed to eat all of my (disgusting, greasy) chicken breast

usually when she said that i'd take the rest of my food (i was often done eating before she approached me), look at her, and dump it in the trash

i was a rebellious little shit but man that woman undermined my confidence as a fuckin 8 year old, i thought i was anorexic for a week even though i barely knew what it was
