yeah okay i love all people and of course obviously that includes cis straight thin white people and i don't mean to be a cliche but the vast majority of my friends happen to be of those categories and they're great and everyone is great and no one has done anything wrong to me bUT

it gets KIND OF ANNOYING when literally every movie or tv show i watch stars a cast full of cis straight thin white characters like a show with maybe three black people in it would be "trying too hard for diversity" like fUCK YOU "what do you want, a trans gay fat black man????" yES ACTUALLY THAT'S NOT A MYTHICAL CREATURE, PEOPLE LIKE THAT EXIST. A LOT. HATE TO BREAK IT TO YOU SWEETCHEEKS, BUT NOT EVERYONE IS A CIS WHITE THIN HETEROSEXUAL SO WHY IS THAT ALL THAT'S IN THE MEDIA oh my bad there was a black girl on doctor who once*

if GLEE has the best representation in all the media, something is terribly wrong. 

so FUCK ME if i wanna make one or two jokes about cis straight white males once in a while when south asian people and women are the butt of every joke that's made around them on tv

(big bang theory, how i met your mother, the simpsons, that asshole in paper towns, the incredibly stereotypical indian kid in that disney show that i don't even watch but the commercials piss me off, ETC ETC ETC)

would it really  be trying "too hard" for ONE agender disabled kid in a high school sitcom? really? ONE? gOD FORBID A SOUTH ASIAN THAT'S NOT AN INDIAN ON TV, MUCH LESS A QUEER ONE really it's at the point where i know obviously, of COURSE i'M not going to get any representation, i just want SOMETHING that's not a cis straight skinny white girl on the tv screen

also it's funny how if a character happens to be part of a certain minority group, all of their other traits are characteristic of majority groups

like have you noticed how if there's a black character- e.g. martha jones, (& sally donovan, the black angel from spn, etc) ,, she is cis, straight, thin, and able-bodied? WEIRD RIGHT? nah. you have a wheel-chair bound boy on tv, i'm gonna guarantee he is cis, straight, thin, and white. fat girl? betcha it's a cisgendered, white, able-bodied girl. and "oooohh but the media is doing so much for the queer community nowadays!!!" yEAH I'M SO GLAD THERE'S TWO SETS OF GAY THIN WHITE HEALTHY UPPER-MIDDLE CLASS FOLK ON THE WHOLE OF THE TELEVISION, GOD BLESS
