The nights were always quiet. Until Teddy was born, but Remus didn’t mind the crying. He always woke up before his wife in the silence of the night to pick up their newborn son, his wolf senses came in handy at times like this. After only a week since the battle, they were all trying to deal with the trauma, to come back to everyday life. Sometimes it was harder than it seemed.
Carrying the baby downstairs, Remus stopped, seeing a dim light coming from the kitchen. Harry was like a son to Remus and it came without a second thought to offer him to live with them when it all was over. They all needed time.
“Not the first sleepless night, huh?” Remus asked, coming further into the kitchen. It wasn’t a question, but a fact he’s noticed in the last few nights. He wanted to give Harry time to sort it out in his head and at the same time not feel alone. “If you ever feel you want to talk to someone, I’m here.”
