"Agostina" (1866) by Jean-Baptiste-Camille Corot

This model was likely an immigrant from the rural region near Rome. Corot dressed her in traditional costume and placed her in an Italian landscape. He used strong darks and lights to paint her solid shoulders, deep-set eyes, and chiseled nose. The artist captures her dignified, monumental presence. Corot was the most influential French landscape painter of the 19th century. He also excelled at figure paintings, though they belonged to a more private practice. He rarely showed or sold them. Agostina is the largest and among the best-known examples.

Had a perfect litter of 3.3 Pucallpa Peru BCC back in October. I'm so happy about these kids, they were somewhat of a surprise because I didn't think the dam was actually gravid.

I'm holding everyone back over the winter, but they should be available come springtime.

I redesigned an old character, Agostina, as she used to be one of my fav OC for a fantasy story I wrote. I redesigned her mainly for the upcoming Art Fight, but I like to see how different my art looks as well! I like how more expressive my art is now and my colour choices haha.
