Sun won't stop laughing. Now she's rolling on the bed. And again, she transformed into a 10-year-old girl.
Rad: (sighs) Are you really that happy?
Sun nods while laughing. Until she rolls again and falls off the bed.
Sun: (shrieks) Aah!
Rad: Hey! (looks down) My silly love. Are you okay? Come here.
She's still laughing. Rad helps her up, but Sun pulls him down harder instead. Now they're both on the floor.
Rad: (groans) Ugh! You little menace.
Rad lays on his back and Sun lays her head on his chest, trying to calm herself down from laughing.
Sun: Sorry. (chuckles and gives Rad soft smooches)
Now she lays on her tummy, her arms supporting her upper body as she just looks at her man.
Sun: (smiles) I love you, my moon.
Rad: (rubs her back) Your moon? (chuckles softly)
Sun: (nods) Mm-hm. (peppers his face with soft kisses) Sun and Moon. My moon cat. (boops his nose)
Rad: (groans) Argh! (hugs her tight) Moon is fine.
Sun won't stop teasing and laughing.
Rad: (exhales deeply) I love you. So much. (closes his eyes)
Transition to a dream where there's the same hospital scene: blurry view, echoing sounds, muffled breathing through an oxygen mask. Rad is rushing alongside the stretcher, but at the same time, he also feels suffocated.
He wants to wake up but he can't. Until he can no longer see himself beside the stretcher but Sun instead - calling out his name. The sound is still muffled. Until he can feel something familiar on his face, on his lips.
His dream shifted to a very bright scene, like a dreamy morning. Sun greets him with a very lovely smile and she leans towards him to give him a kiss. He closes his eyes and he can feel her lips against him a lot better now.
From the bedroom, Sun is almost panicking that Rad is not waking up from his night terror. It's still dark. The sun isn't rising anytime soon.
Sun: (shaky voice) Rad. (Cups his face) Rad love, wake up! (crying)
Rad's lips are slightly parted. Sun tried to kiss him once but she still didn't get a response. She tried again and as if Rad was pulled out from the dream. He inhales deeply, cups Sun's face and responds to Sun's kiss by giving her a deeper one. After their sweet kiss.
Sun: There you are. (Sighs) God, where have you been? You scared me!
Rad: (eyes half-closed)(sleepy voice) What?
Sun: You were having a nightmare.
Rad: (wiggles closer to Sun) I was?
Sun: Does this always happen? I mean I witnessed it before, but tonight it's a bit of a struggle to wake you up. (sniffles)
Rad: (looks at her) Hey. Babe are you crying?
Sun: (wipes off her tears) No I- I just got really scared for a moment.
Rad: (sighs) I'm sorry. (kisses her cheek) I'm so sorry. (hugs her tight)
Sun: It's alright baby. Will you be okay? (rubs his back)
Rad: (nods softly)(hums) Hm. I must be a bit tired, that's all.
Sun: Let me get you some water.
Rad: (whines like a little boy) No, don't leave me. (Curls in bed)(hugs her tighter)
Sun: You need to drink, mister.
Rad: (scowls) No.
The thing about Rad and his precious sleep - no one would dare wake him unless it's a matter of life and death. He will wake up on his own anyway. But if anyone bothers him, he'll probably throw the F word 20 times plus all the cuss words that ever existed or he'd be bratty and whine like a little boy - which he only does to Harmony and Sun. Yes, even Sun gets a taste of his grumpiness when she wakes him up from his very dear sleep. Now, he just wants to be in his girl's arms and not let go.
Sun: (Touches and feels his chest) Are you feeling okay now?
His heart is pounding less than before.
Rad: I'm okay. Just hold me close, please?
Sun: (sighs) I will.
Rad squeezes himself in closer, not leaving an inch between him and Sun, like a cat keeping himself warm around his human's arms. Sun holds him tighter, his head buried in her chest. She's like cuddling a little boy to sleep, running her fingers on Rad's back.
Rad: Sun?
Sun: (hums) Hm?
Rad: (mumbles) Don't let me go?
Sun: I won't. (Kisses his head)
Whether or not he's fully awake and just mumbling, Sun just held him and waited for him to finally tense down before she got back to sleep.
The next morning, Sun's preparing some breakfast while Chucky is lying lazily on one of the bar stools when she hears the door lock start to beep and Holly running towards the door.
Sun: Who is it Holly?
She hears the door open. A few seconds later, Holly returns and he's being chased by Keiko. Chucky got up and joined the gang.
Sun: Good morning, Keiko! (kneels to welcome him)
Keiko puts the chasing on hold to greet Sun with wet kisses first.
Sun: (giggles) Yes, I'm so happy to see you too. (hugs him)
Kash: (groans) Ahh, stop spoiling my kid. Now he likes you more than me. Morning Chucky!
Chucky meows.
Sun: (chuckles)(stands) Hey. Good morning.
Kash: Morning. (kisses her cheek)(shows paper bags) Sorry my hands are full to give you a hug.
Sun: What's all this? (helps him)
Kash: Aunt H dropped by real quick on her way to her convention to give these. She said Rad's not picking up so she called me instead. (unpacks stuff)
Sun: Oh he's still sleeping so soundly.
Kash: He must be pretty tired. The last couple of weeks are like hell in JTD.
Sun: (nods) Yeah.
Kash: (smiles) I could get used to this.
Sun: (puts some veggies in the fridge) To what?
Kash: Seeing you here every morning. (winks)
Sun: (blushes) Oh. (smiles)
Kash: Who would've thought you guys would click.
Sun: I know. (closes fridge) Oh um...may I ask you something?
Kash: Fire away. (folds paper bag)
Sun: (leans on counter) Rad um...does he always have nightmares? I mean I think I've seen him have a couple before and another one last night.
Kash: Ah. Well he told me about it last time. But that was just one time so I wasn't aware that it occurred more often.
Sun: (nods) Oh.
Kash: (thinks) Now that you've mentioned that, well, there have been a few instances when he comes to work like he didn't have enough sleep at all. You must know one of his sleeping habits - once he's disturbed, it'd be hard for him to sleep again or worse, he couldn't.
Sun nods.
Kash: You said he had a nightmare last night? (scoffs) What kind of spell have you had him under for him to be able to go back to sleep? (chuckles)
Sun chuckles.
Sun: But um...Kash?
Kash: (hums) Hm?
Sun: Is that okay? I mean...is he okay? Last night his heart was beating so fast and he seemed exhausted and...what if- (sighs)
Kash shifts his eyes behind Sun, smiling. When Sun turned around, Rad was already there, pulling her in his arms. She's startled.
Sun: (gasps) Love! (Hits his back) You scared me!
Rad: (chuckles) Sorry my love. (Kisses her head) And yes, I'm okay. (Cups her face) Now don't worry. Okay? (Gives her a smooch)
Kash: (cringes) Ahh. You guys are annoying. Okay I think I'm done here, I'll leave you guys be.
Rad: (chuckles) Thanks man.
