Summary: Rad meets the brightest person he has ever met and his heart suddenly felt a familiar warmth.

Scene starts in the hospital halls where a woman in her late 40s is rushing alongside a stretcher and another guy in his early 20s on the other; both looking at someone laying down. Blurry view, echoing sounds, muffled breathing through an oxygen mask.

Woman: (crying) You're gonna be okay. Just stay with me, stay with mommy.

Nurse: I'm so sorry, but you can only stay up to this point.

Doctor: We will be with you in a few. We will now proceed with the surgery.

Meanwhile in another hospital, the view is from an almost unconscious person. Blurry vision, echoing sounds, muffled breathing through an oxygen mask.

Woman: (crying) Please do everything, doctor. Please.

And then a blurry figure of a man appears right in front of the person's face.

Man: (brushes hair gently) Hey you. You'll be fine, okay? (Sniffles) Hold my hand. Tighter. Tighter now please.

The person's eyes are slowly closing and everything went bright. Transition to heavy flashes coming from the camera and a few softboxes. There's an ongoing photoshoot for a magazine.

Prod. Staff: Okay, great job everyone! Let's take a break and resume in 20?

And all models and crew take their break.

Tyler: (gay) Sunny-hunny, 'got your coffee!

A girl in her mid-20s turns around. Dark brown hair in a messy bun, has a small face with very pretty features expressing a very friendly and warm aura, wearing round specs, dressed in a long denim jumper over a white pullover top and black Converse highs. She smiled so sweetly at Tyler, her best friend, before she started hopping her way to him.

Tyler: God, what are you, ten?

Sun: (scoffs) God, why are you so boring grandpa-doc? (Chuckles and sips her iced Americano)(moans) Oh yes! You got it right today.

Tyler: Excuse me? Just today?

Sun: Well (shrugs) there are days that you don't. (Winks)

Tyler: (scoffs) What a brat.

Sun: I love you, too. (Smiles cutely with a nose scrunch) Just stop playing behind the bar and just let my brother do his magic okay?

Tyler: Really, you ungrateful brat. (Rolls his eyes)

Sun: (hugs him tight) Hmm! You're the sweetest! (Chuckles) We'll be done in a few. Wait for me?

Tyler: What else am I doing here, silly.

Sun: Good! (Pulls his hand) Now come on, let's check some shots.

Sun runs her own production biz that is mostly about photography but not limited to it. She and her small team print ads and merchandise and some of them are talented video editors so they cater to those requests as well. She owns a fairly spacious studio located in her own yard. She converted the entire house into an industrial design inspired studio and lived in her backyard's smaller guest house since she's alone anyway.

Meanwhile, in one music production studio, a meeting just adjourned and the rest of the team left the conference room except for one guy who's in his late-20s. Fair skin, black undercut hair swiped backwards, blank facial expression, serious aura, dressed in a black bomber jacket with a white plain shirt inside, black jeans and retro white black dunk low Nikes. He's still reviewing some papers when a woman younger than him steps inside.

Meg: Hey boss. (smiles)

Rad: (looks up) Uh, hey. (forces a smile)

Meg: So the rumors are true, you're back.

Rad: (looks around) I'm sitting here, so I guess you're right.

Meg: (sulks) Still sarcastic, boss.

Rad: And you're still with the troupe, glad to know.

Meg: Of course! (giggles) You know I love to dance. So, the meeting's over and we're dismissed as well...coffee? On me. (smiles)

Rad: I'm sorry, I-

Then a man his age suddenly appears.

Kash: There you are! I've been looking for you.

He and Rad had their best bud eye contact and they already get it.

Meg: Heyya Kash. (smiles)

Kash: Meg, hi. (smiles) Good to see you here. Again. (raises an eyebrow)

Meg: Just checking if my boss is really back. (winks at Rad)

Kash: Oh. (nods)

Meg: Join us for coffee? I know a place.

Kash: Oh (looks at Rad) no, I don't think so, sorry. I'm actually here because Rad has an important appointment he shouldn't miss so we really have to rush now.

Meg: (frowns) Aw, too bad. Okay, next time then. I'll see you guys real soon! Bye Kash. Bye boss!

They both faked a smile.

Kash: (closes door) Really? That girl is still so into you?

Rad: (scoffs) Please.

Kash: Bro, seriously, she won't stop asking people around about you while you are gone.

Rad: (closes folder) Do I look like I care? (sits lazily on the chair) What do you want?

Kash: (sighs) Mrs. D is downstairs. (shows time) You got a 3PM.

Rad: (sighs) Are you fucking kidding me?

Kash: Go ask your mom that. (chuckles) I'll see you in the evening. Tanner's party, (points at him) you know you got to be there.

Rad sighs one more time, takes his stuff and steps out of the conference room. That night, he was in an all black outfit again in his white X5. He went to their friend's small party who just got back from London and is now celebrating his birthday. It's being held in a studio-like structure. Party's catered with good food and booze. It's like a college reunion, but only a few were invited.

While Rad was looking around at the huge black and white photos hung on the walls with his whisky, a huge photo of a girl caught his eye. It's a half body, candid shot of a girl looking at the sun, eyes closed, it seems like she's laughing, while holding a saxophone. It's printed on canvas and the only colored photo in the studio. The girl looks very happy and he can't explain it, but he feels warmth in that photo. He looks at the description and it reads: "Jazz" with the photographer's initials "W.S. Hart" and in front of the image was a black table where the saxophone is displayed.

He's so into the moment when he heard a voice behind him.

Tanner: Rad Dean you fucking bastard. (Chuckles)

He turns around and smiles.

Tanner: You made it bro! (Hugs him tight)

Rad: (taps his back) Do I have a choice?

Tanner: Fuck you.

And they both laughed.

Tanner: It is really good to see you. (smiles)

Rad nods and smiles.

Tanner: Beautiful photo huh? (Points photo)

Rad: (looks at it again) Yeah. Very raw, but beautiful.

Tanner: That's my cousin. (Points label) And the one who took it is my cousin, too. (Gestures) She actually owns this studio. (Looks around) She's just sweet enough to move things around so I can throw a small party. She took care of everything and I just took care of the guests. (Winks)

Rad: You sly bastard.

Tanner: (eyebrows furrowed) Interesting. (points at him) That's exactly what she said. (Looks around) I'll let you meet her when I find her. She must be in her little darkroom again doing her thing. (Waves at someone) Oh hey, enjoy okay? I'll catch up with you in a bit.

Rad: Sure, go ahead.

The party just went on. Rad is not a fan of socializing nor small talk, but tonight he's got no choice since familiar faces are in the room. After a few good catch ups, he's finally saved by a call. He stepped out on the backyard porch to get a call from work. There are a couple of guys smoking by the porch so he stepped down the backyard that's covered in grass and some stone steps.

Rad: (walks in the backyard)(on the phone) Yeah, yeah that would do. Sure, let's do that first thing tomorrow. (nods and sips his rum coke this time) Mm-hm. Mm-hm. Yeah, mm, about that...I'm really not sure. I don't know, maybe it still hasn't grown on me yet? I don't know, let's see. We still have time for that anyway and I'd love to consult with Jim regarding that one. (looking around) Uh-huh.

It's pretty dim in the backyard and all he can see is a dim light coming from a small house. He heard some rustling so he looked around. He's hoping he's not trespassing, but he's pretty sure he's still standing on the same property.

Rad: Yeah, okay. Okay, tomorrow then. Thanks man. K, bye.

Just when he's about to turn and walk towards the back door and go back to the party, the backyard lit up. He looks up and sees strings of warm white light bulbs hanging across from the porch to another end. They're a lot and they're beautiful. He was taking his time looking at the lights and the minimalist garden that he can now clearly see until he heard a woman's voice saying, "Ahh, so beautiful."

Rad thought he was alone since the smoking guys already went back inside a minute ago. He turned around and he saw a woman on top of a tall step ladder, staring up at the lights, her eyes glistening, looking so happy and proud of what probably is her work. She's wearing an oversized pink pullover, skinny jeans, black Converse highs, and her long wavy hair tied up in a high ponytail. Rad was just staring at her when the woman looked down and saw him.

Sun: Oh! (smiles and waves at him) Hi! Sorry, I didn't know someone's out here. Hang on.

Sun steps down the ladder when one step snapped and she lost her balance.

Sun: Whoa!

She's still a few steps up there, still too high. She knows she's gonna fall so she just shut her eyes and covered her head like in a duck position. In slow motion, with her eyes shut, she fell. She's so ready for a bad crash when she heard glass breaking and felt arms behind her knees and around her back. She did not fall to the ground. She did fall someplace safer...in Rad's arms.

Sun slowly opened her eyes and just inches away was a guy's face. He looked so soft, gentle, his skin was as white as snow, but his eyes were as if piercing through her soul. This was her on the spot description behind her head. Meanwhile, from Rad's perspective, he felt familiarity and warmth for some reason while looking at Sun, especially when she opened her eyes.

Those few seconds felt like forever until Sun got her senses back and Rad almost lost his balance. Sun's reflexes got her arms clinging on Rad's shoulders and flinching at the thought of him dropping her.

Rad: I won't drop you if you try and get on your feet now.

Sun: Shoot.

She jumps off Rad's arms and tries to calm herself from what just happened.

Sun: (still shuddering) Oh God. Phew! (wipes her forehead) Thank God you were there or else I would've lost one of my 24 precious ribs.

Rad: Well (points ladder) that should be repaired or else, yes, you're gonna lose one of your 24 precious ribs.

Sun: (chuckles softly) Yeah, I'll get that fixed. (looks up) But did you like it? (smiles)

Rad seemed taken aback by her lovely smile. She looks so happy. He spent a few seconds looking at her before answering.

Rad: (sighs and looks up) Yeah. I mean it's nothing special, but I like it.

Sun: (looks at him and scoffs) Excuse me? It's special because I made it. (winks and smiles)

Rad can't help but let out a slight chuckle. He was surprised by Sun's reaction. Some others will probably react violently with his choice of words, but she looked cute gloating. So then he wanted to annoy her more.

Rad: You made that?

Sun: Well technically I hung them, but I made the blueprint in my head on how'd they look like hanging out here. (looks at him again) Why you grammar nazi.

Rad: (raises an eyebrow) I am not a grammar nazi, trust me.

Sun: (chuckles) Anyway, I'm-

Tanner: (arrives with some other boys) There you are!

They turned their heads to Tanner who's walking towards them while looking at the lights.

Tanner: Wow 'lil sis, I mean- you didn't have to go all-out for my party, but I like it. (chuckles and hugs Sun)

Sun: (hits his arm) It's not for you loser. (chuckles)

Tanner: Fine, I know. So I guess you guys were already acquainted?

Sun: Almost, if you didn't come marching in like a diva. (chuckles) A! You made it! (hugs Arden)

Arden: Hey darling. (Kisses her head)

Tanner: (to Rad) See? (Sarcastic tone) 'Told you she's so sweet. Anyway, she's the one I'm talking about earlier. You know, the one who took that huge photo of my cousin inside? (Rad nods) She's the little sister, my favorite cousin and an incredibly amazing photographer, Sun. Sun, meet my good friend all the way back from college. He looks like a soulless dude, but trust me he's really nice. (chuckles) And an incredibly talented composer and music producer, Rad.

Sun: That's quite an intro brother. (chuckles)(extends hand) Hey, Rad. Nice to meet you.

Rad: (shakes her hand) Nice to meet you too, Sun.

Tanner: Oh and in case you don't know man, she's also Arden's cousin - from her dad's side.

Rad nods to acknowledge.

Rad: Small world.

Tanner: Yep. Oh and sis, meet Kash here, also our good friend. Kash, meet Sun.

Kash: No intro for me? (scoffs) Bastard. (chuckles)(extends hand) Hi Sun, I love your name. I'm Kash - with a K. (winks)

Sun: (chuckles) Well hello, Kash with a K. (shakes his hand) Pleasure to meet you.

Kash: The pleasure is mine. (kisses the back of her hand)

Arden & Tanner: Hey!

Arden: (pulls Sun's hand away) She's off limits, bro. At least from you.

Sun laughs so hard. Rad looks at her.

Kash: (acting) You're hurting my feelings bro.

Tanner: Sun, anyone but this guy, understood?

The night went on. Finally, Tyler and Liam, Sun's friends, have already arrived. They hung out by the studio for a bit and moved to Sun's little crib at the back.

Time skip to a few weeks later. The frame and view is again of a person who's laying down on a moving stretcher. Blurry view, echoing sounds, muffled breathing through an oxygen mask. There's a woman on the left side and a young man on the right. When the man turned to the person laying down, the face was a bit blurry at first but then it became clearer - it's Rad crying while rushing along with the stretcher.

Rad wakes up, gasps for air and sits up trying to calm himself down. He puts his right hand on his chest as he feels his heart beat fast. He's all sweaty and tired from his dream. When he finally calmed down, he jumped off the bed and went to his kitchen to get some water. He checked the time and it's just 4AM. The thing with Rad is, once his precious sleep is disturbed, he seldom finds it easy to go back to dreamland. Not feeling sleepy anymore, he took his tablet and went out his balcony, sat there, watched the city lights, and worked on his tablet. This is one of the reasons why sometimes he feels sleepy and exhausted in the daytime.

That morning in JTD Studios, Rad arrives and he was surprised to see children running around the lobby and some staff collecting them.

Kash: Morning brother!

Rad: (looking around) Did we open up a day-care overnight?

Kash: (snorts) No loser. Remember Kai wanting to record a verse in his song with kids' voices in the background? (gestures) Voila.

Rad sighs.

Kash: Okay hold that thought until you reach your office. Can you do that, please?

Rad shakes his head and walks straight to his office.

Rad: (puts his bag on the couch) You know I like kids, it's the entitled artists I don't like.

Kash: (sighs) I know. Well the man's bringing in the money so can you blame the big boss?

Rad: (sighs) I know. (sits back and massages his temples)

Kash: 'You alright? You look like you didn't get any sleep.

Rad: Yeah I am. I just...I just slept a bit late and woke up too early.

Kash: Just try and get home early today. Anyway, so our team already got the approval from the big boss and we'll start preparing for the 8th Anniversary of JTD. Apparently we got this magazine feature offer so he asked us to refresh our portfolio with new artist and staff photos - us included.

Rad: (groans) Really? You know I fucking hate that. Can I take a pass?

Kash: No, because you're just gonna make our job difficult. (smiles cutely) So go get your hair trimmed next week okay?

He was about to leave when he remembered something.

Kash: And oh, Chord's shooting his first project today, you might want to say hi. Call me if we're going.

He just nods and wiggles his left hand, shooing away his friend. He decided to visit his brother's shoot after he and Kash had lunch. It's actually their company's project which he handed over to his younger brother because he believes he's the best one to do it and simply because he's just damn good at filming. Kash parks in front of a familiar place.

Rad: Isn't this-

Kash: Sun's studio, yes. (smiles)(turns engine off) Now come on and bring those coffee with you.

Rad: (scoffs) Did you just buy her coffee when you downright ditched our lunch bill?

Kash: (snorts) Relax, your brother just asked me to get her a cup, too. God, you're a mood today.

And so they stepped inside The Where?House! Studios as it is called - because it's located in a residential area and it's literally a house converted into something more commercial. It looked more like a studio compared to how it looked during Tanner's party. The lobby was more like a working lounge with comfortable working stations.

Kash: (looking around) Cool. This place is like Google HQ's youngest child.

Rad just scoffed at Kash's analogy.

Rad: So tell me again why they're shooting here?

Kash: Oh Chord said they're done with the outdoor shoot so they're here doing all the green screen stuff and everything.

Staff: Hi. (smiles) Can I help you?

Kash: Oh hi. (smiles) We're actually looking for Chord Dean? They're shooting a sort of-

Staff: Oh the corporate video shoot?

Kash: (nods) Yeah that's right.

Staff: (points) They're at that studio, the one with the yellow door and Studio E on it. Though I'm not sure if Chord's back in there 'coz I just saw him go upstairs like five minutes ago. Maybe he's reviewing the shots with Sun. (smiles)

Kash: Cool. (smiles) Thank you very much.

Staff: Sure thing. Please make yourselves comfortable.

And she excused herself.

Kash: She's like Sun's clone. Did you see how identically perky they were?

Rad: You're funny. Come on, let's get to the studio first.

They entered the studio and it seemed like this is mostly where they shoot videos. Some of the staff and artists recognized Kash and Rad so they were able to catch up while they're on a break. When Rad asked for his brother, one of their staff said he's upstairs at the conference room reviewing some shots. Kash and Rad decided to check on them and Rad's still literally holding that coffee tray in his hands with two iced Americanos on it. They find their way to the conference room and when Kash peeked into one glass-walled room, he immediately got Chord's attention. Chord excitedly waves at him and runs towards the door.

Chord: (opens door) Hey you made it!

Kash: But of course bro. (gives him a pound hug) You know we mean it when we said we'll support you 100%.

Chord: (smiles) Thanks. (sees Rad) Bro! You're here! (hugs him)

Rad: (taps his back) Of course. I was about to say something, but Kash stole all the good lines.

Chord laughs.

Chord: Oh come in, please. Sun, do you mind?

Sun: Oh no, no, not at all. Come in please. (Smiles)

Kash: Hey Sun! It's good to see you again.

Sun: Hi! Kash with a K right?

Kash points at her, winks and clicks his tongue.

Chord: Oh cool, you guys know each other.

Sun: Yeah we met at my cousin's party.

Chord: Oh right, Tanner. So you know my brother here, too?

Sun: (nods) I didn't know he's your brother until now, but yeah. Hey Rad.

Rad: Hey Sun. (smiles softly) Oh um, (gives coffee) I think you guys ordered coffee.

Chord: Whoa thank you! (to Kash) Thanks brother. (gives Sun her cup) Here you go boss.

Sun: (high-pitched) Yay! Thanks. (hits his arm) And stop calling me boss. (sips her drink)(moans) Oh God, this is just what I needed today. I can die now.

Kash: (laughs) You're so cute.

And so the duo hung around a bit more when the shoot resumed. Rad won't say it out loud but he's so proud of his brother. A few minutes later.

Sun: Hey Chordy, I'm so sorry I think I have to leave you here for a bit. My colleague can't make it to JTD so I'll have to cover for him. Just make yourself comfortable okay? You know the drill here.

Chord: Sure no problem. But hey, you said JTD? (points) These two are from JTD.

Sun: Oh yeah? (smiles) That's great! Oh yeah I remember Tanner saying you're a music producer.

Rad: Ah, yeah. (nods) What are you shooting in there again?

Sun: (preparing camera bag) Oh I think it's just some behind-the-scenes for Kai's new song? (shrugs)

Kash: Ooh, right. He's including some BTS in his MV and making sheets. Do you have a ride? We're on our way back, you might just want to join us instead.

Sun: Oh thanks, that's so sweet of you. Thank you, but I gotta run somewhere right after the shoot so I might as well just bring my own. But thank you, really. (smiles)

Kash: Oh yeah no problem. So I guess we'll see you there?

Sun: (nods) Mm-hm! (smiles)

Back to JTD. Kash just parked when a big BMW bike parked beside him.

Kash: Isn't this Tanner's bike?

Rad: (looks) It has his initials, so I guess yes.

They were surprised to see a lady rider instead of Tanner. She jumps off the bike and removes her helmet.

Kash: (scoffs in disbelief) Wow.

They stepped out of the car.

Kash: You look awesome on that bike.

Sun: Oh. (chuckles) Thanks, but I'm already returning this baby to Tanner after the shoot.

Kash: Let me guess. It's either he got drunk at your place or his date's got a ride so he had to leave it there.

Sun: (thinks) Mm, (eyes squint) I'd say it's a little bit of both. (nods)

Kash laughed so hard, while Rad just smiled and shook his head.

Rad: Classic Tanner. We better get in, it looks like it's gonna rain.

When they went in, the kids from the morning shoot were out the lobby again, running around. Kash and Sun greeted them happily, while Rad just gave them soft smiles and high fives. Sun even squats to greet the kids as she starts taking pictures.

Kash: (to Rad) Oh okay, I guess she's starting to cover?

Rad: Maybe. I'll be up in my office. Call me if you need me.

He's about to go when he hears a staff member calling a kid.

Staff: Brent! Careful, no running!

A little boy holding a cup of orange juice keeps on running and his juice spilling everywhere. Sun turned around and in a split second, the boy crashed into her, spilling the juice all over her white oversized boyfriend's polo.

Sun: Oh!

She was squatting so she lost her balance when the boy crashed into her so she held tight on her camera with one hand as she wrapped that same arm around the boy while her other hand covered the boy's head. She hugged the boy tightly before she fell on her back.

Staff: Oh my God!

Kash: (kneels next to Sun) Hey. Hey Sun, are you okay?

Sun: Yeah, yeah I'm good.

Rad helps the boy get off her so she could stand. The boy is about to cry.

Rad: (kneels) Hey, they told you not to run, right? (fixes his sweater) Are you okay? Are you hurt? (fixes his hair)

The boy shakes his head. Kash helps Sun to stand.

Sun: Thanks. (to the boy) Hey, are you okay? What's your name?

Brent: (voice shaking) Brent. I'm sorry. (cries)

Sun: Oh hey, it's okay, come here. (hugs him) Hush now kiddo.

And of course, Rad won't show it, but he's touched by the gesture.

Sun: (wipes his tears) Let me see that smile now.

Brent smiles cutely.

Sun: (giggles) You're so cute! But your shirt's now messy, all covered with orange juice. Do you have something extra you can change to?

Staff: (to Sun) I'm so sorry. We have some merch in his size, I'll just change him up.

Sun: No problem. (smiles) Go change now Brent and I'll see you later okay? (smiles)

Brent: Okay. (waves at her) See you!

And the rest of the staff gathered the kids for the shoot.

Kash: Ah kids, they're just so carefree and adorable. Hey you're all covered in juice, too. Do you have something to change to?

Sun: (looks at her top)(groans softly) Agh, yeah. Don't worry, it's cool. At least I smell like tangerine. (smiles)

Kash: (chuckles) You're really cool. Anyway, too bad I just took my extra clothes home. (to Rad) Bro, 'you got something up in your office?

Rad: (stunned) Uh...I could check.

Sun: Oh please no need, I don't want to bother you guys.

Kash: Oh stop it. You don't wanna meet Kai smelling and looking like a human-sized tangerine. (snorts)

Sun: (glares at him and hits his arm) Yeah whatever. (chuckles)

Kash: Alright, I'll check on everyone so you guys can start once you get changed.

Sun: Okay. Thanks. (smiles)

When Kash already left.

Rad: Um, yeah, this way please.

They took the lift to the 5th floor. While inside the elevator.

Sun: Wow, I didn't know JTD's building was this big.

Rad: Oh, no, not really. For some odd reason, there are other companies and offices in between ours and the studio below. I don't know how that happened, but yeah. (chuckles softly)

Sun: (snorts) Really? Wow. Well at least you get to meet other people in between floors.

Rad: Yeah, but no thanks.

The door opens.

Rad: (gestures) After you.

Sun: Thank you. (steps out) So I'm sensing you're an introvert? Well I just noticed back in the party.

Rad: Noticed?

Sun: That you're not much like my cousins or Kash or your brother even. You're a bit- no actually, you're very much quiet compared to them.

Rad: (thinks) Mm, yeah I think you could say that. I'm just really...(shrugs) 'shy' most of the time. So, is it fair to say that I do sense you're an extrovert?

Sun: (scoffs) Believe it or not, I'm an introvert.

Rad: (raises an eyebrow) Interesting.

Sun: Yeah well, it comes with the profession. You know, having to deal with people.

Rad: Agreed. (stops) We're here.

Sun: (reads label) Genius Lab. Wow.

Rad: Don't judge. It's not my idea. (enters lock code) I swear I wanted to tear this whole thing down, but our boss insists I keep that label. (opens door)

Sun: Oh no, not judging. (steps in)(amazed) Whoa, it really looks and feels like a Genius Lab.

Rad: (scoffs) Stop.

Rad checks one of his cabinets for shirts or hoodies.

Sun: Holy moly guacamole!

Rad: (turns around) What?

Sun: (thinks) Chord Dean. (hits her head) Oh silly Sun! You're his brother, so are you by any chance the Producer 'Shadow'??? (points a jersey around his chair with the name Shadow 7)

Rad: Uh...(shrugs) I guess I am?

Sun: Oh my God! I am such a fan. And yeah, now I agree with your boss that THIS is a Genius Lab, because you are incredibly a genius.

Rad: (scoffs) Stop.

Sun: No, really! Chord knows how much I love your work.

Rad: (gives her a hoodie) I hope you don't mind wearing an oversized hoodie.

Sun: (gets it) Oh thanks, no I don't mind at all.

Rad: So how do you know my brother again?

Sun: (puts her camera and bag on the table) Oh we just met through a common friend in the industry not too long ago and we get to see each other in media conferences, so I can say we eventually became friends. (nods)

Rad: (nods and hums) Hm. Oh, (points) bathroom's that way.

Sun: Thanks.

When she stepped out, she looked so tiny in that black oversized hoodie with a Fear of God logo. Rad snorts.

Sun: Oh, Mr. Shy Guy knows how to laugh.

Rad: Well you look so tiny in that.

Sun: (rolls her eyes) Yeah whatever. It's so comfortable though. (sniffs) And it smells so nice.

Rad blushed all of a sudden and he didn't know why. Good thing Sun did not notice because his studio's pretty dim.

Sun: I like it. (smiles) I promise to wash and return it later even if I like it.

Rad: No worries, I got a few more anyway.

Sun: I'd love to force you to give me a studio tour but I got some BTS to cover so I guess I'll just bother you next time. Let's go?

Rad: Yeah.

They both went to the studio. Rad should be working on something that time, but he stayed and watched the ongoing recording and shoot. He also took the chance to listen to the raw material and check if there should be changes. He can't help but glance at Sun who's passionately working and having a good time with the kids. Seeing her so happy makes him feel happy for some reason.

Rad's a totally shy and introverted guy that he's only comfortable talking to people he knew for a while. He's so bad at starting and keeping up conversations, especially with acquaintances. Sometimes he'd even cringe if he's with new people inside one room. But for some reason he can't explain, he feels very comfortable with Sun - comfortable with her around and comfortable talking to her even if sometimes he feels that she's got a strong and too hyped up personality.

He was staring so much at Sun that he did not notice the smile that's starting to form on his lips. And then he feels his heart suddenly pounding. Surprised by the strong beat, he almost jumped at his seat and placed his right hand on his chest.

[Music stops. Heartbeat SFX]

Colleague: Rad, hey. Everything okay?

His eyebrows are furrowed. He's breathing faster.

Colleague: (taps his shoulder) Man are you good? (shouts) Can somebody get me some water please!

One of their staff rushed to get him bottled water. Rad shuts his eyes and grips his shirt. Suddenly Kash comes in.

Kash: (rushes towards Rad)(very worried tone) Rad. Rad are you okay man?

Rad nods.

Kash: Come on. Let's get your meds.

A week later inside one of JTD's conference rooms, Rad is conducting a job interview when he sees someone excitedly waving at him from the glass walls, hopping like a bunny.

Rad: Uh, (closes folder) okay, thank you for your time. Our recruitment officer will be in touch with you soon, okay? (stands)

Applicant: (stands) Yes sir, thank you so much for your time. (smiles and shakes his hand)

When the applicant stepped out, he held the door for Sun.

Sun: Thank you! (smiles) Hello! (waves at Rad)

Rad: Hello to you, too. What brings you here?

Sun: First, I may or may not be your official photographer for your 8th Anniversary photo shoot and second, (gives paper bag) I need to give you this.

Rad gives him a perplexed look as he gets the paper bag.

Sun: Oh it's not a gift, I'm just returning your hoodie. Fresh and clean. (winks)

Rad: (smiles softly) Thank you. You didn't have to, I can wash it myself.

Sun: Oh come on, I should be the one thanking you.

Rad: Okay, you're welcome. (nods)

Kash: (arrives) Oh there you are. Sun, hey! (hugs her)

Sun: Hey! (taps his back) How are you?

Kash: Amazing as usual. (winks)

Sun: 'You guys ready for the shoot?

Kash: I am and I'm actually here to check if this man is ready.

Rad: (sighs) Do I really need to be there?

Kash: Well you can actually choose between having your photo taken or our team will just put a grumpy emoji on your face when we print the portfolio. (smiles cutely)

Sun snorts.

Sun: (laughing) That is a pretty good idea. (high five with Kash)

Rad glares at them.

Kash: Oof, the death glare. Let's get outta here Sun. (pulls her wrist)(shouts) See you at the studio loser!

So the shoot went on. Kash and Sun wouldn't stop laughing when it was Kash's turn so Sun got pretty good candid shots just the way their team likes it. When it was Rad's turn, he sat on the chair with a very serious face. Sun gets some formal shots they can use later on. Then the staff member asked him to change to their company bomber jacket.

Kash: There's my man. Wow, he really rocks anything he wears.

Rad: Shut up you asshole. (sits)

Sun and Kash laugh.

Rad: Can we get this over with now?

Sun: Yes sir! (pursed her lips to hold her laugh) Okay this one is a fun concept so I'll ask you to think of something fun or happy so your natural smile will show, okay?

Rad: (still wearing a poker face) I can't think of anything fun or happy.

Kash: Oh come on! Think of our high school and college days, all those silly things we did. I mean there are quite a lot.

Rad sighs. Suddenly, after a few good seconds, he chuckled softly and Sun captured it. He immediately held back and went back to his straight face when he heard the shutter.

Sun: Oh come on, that was good. Continue talking to him Kash, I can handle this. So Mr. Shy Guy, what's this funny memory you're laughing at? (clicks camera)

Rad: (looks at Sun) So it was your cousin pranking Kash with a "non-dairy" dessert during one of our camps. He loved it so much he almost finished the entire tray.

Kash glares at him.

Sun: (continuously shooting) Uh-huh? So what happened?

Rad: Unfortunately that dessert is filled with dairy and Kash is lactose intolerant. For the record, he did not shit his pants, but he went full-on gassy that he can't stop farting inside the bus on our way home. (laughs out loud)

Sun: Oh my God. And you're talking about my cousin Arden?

Rad nods as he still keeps on laughing.

Sun: God he's so mean. (laughs)(to Kash) I'm sorry, it's really funny.

Rad: And there was this one time when-

Kash: (groans) Ugh, Sun can you make it fast please? (to Rad)(mouths and gives him the finger) Fuck you.

Sun got some nice shots.

Sun: Just a few more. Face the camera please. (clicks) Oh, your hair.

She looked around but Kash was suddenly gone and she saw him in one corner on his phone and the rest of the staff were quite busy.

Sun: Okay hang on.

She walks towards Rad and leans closer. Rad's surprised to see her face that close again - as close as they were when she fell off the ladder.

Sun: (fixes his hair) There you go. (fixes his jacket) Great. Oh wait.

She runs to get some tissue and comes back to Rad to gently pat some sweat off his face. The whole time, Rad is just staring at her.

Sun: (smiles) Perfect. We're almost done, now give me a sweet smile will you?

Sun goes back behind the camera and suddenly, Rad just smiles naturally which he seldom does. Sun checks the shots and smiles. She calls Rad so he can check the shots on the monitor.

Sun: Look. (points to her staff) This one is good. And this one.

Rad is amazed at how good she is at taking very light and natural photos.

Sun: (clicks) Look. (smiles)

It's his last photo smiling genuinely.

Sun: (looks at Rad) You have a very beautiful smile, Rad. You should be smiling more. (smiles and looks at the monitor again)

Rad is just there, looking at her, feeling this familiarity and warmth again.

Time skip to that evening when Kash asked them to eat out and have some drinks since it's a Friday. Arden joined them too and since Tyler is around the area, Sun invited him over. Tyler is a social butterfly so he easily got acquainted with Kash and Rad. Dinner went good and drinks at the sports bar went better.

During the happy hour, the customers were challenged to 'tequila pong' instead of beer pong and the group's contenders were Kash and Tyler. Of course they ended up getting pretty wasted.

Sun did not bring her pickup truck to dinner and drinks since Arden got her. Rad brought his car because he is certain Kash will drink till he drops. Arden brought Sun home and she took her best friend with her just to be sure he wouldn't wake up in the wee hours to grab more drinks. Rad did the same with his best friend.

After washing up and tucking Tyler to bed, Sun's phone rings. She checked who's calling and it's Kash. She steps out of the room because Tyler is a pretty light sleeper.

Sun: Hey Kash. Did you guys get home safe?

But instead of a perky voice, a very deep voice spoke on the other line.

Rad: Uh, yeah, but this is Rad.

Sun: Oh hi Rad.

Rad: I don't have your number and my phone's dead so I just stole Kash's. Just want to check if you got home safe as well.

Sun: Oh yes, thanks. We made it home in one piece and Arden already called and now you called, so I'm now worry-free. (smiles)

Rad: Cool. Remind me next time to not volunteer our very competitive friends to any match that involves alcohol.

Sun laughs.

Sun: (sits on the couch) Oh God, yes, that is duly noted.

They talked for the next few minutes and had to hang up when Kash woke up and kept asking for his phone. Sun lays beside her drunk best friend. She's ready to sleep when her phone lights up. She got a text from an unregistered number saying "So the bastard just asked for his phone to show me his pictures from the shoot earlier. He didn't go back to sleep until I agreed that he looked cute in the photos."

Sun knew exactly that it was Rad. She silently giggled because she can imagine Kash whining cutely while Rad looks so annoyed.

Sun: For the record, he really is cute.

Rad: I know. He's been annoyingly cute since we were kids.

Sun: Like me. 😋

Rad: You're not.

Sun: Not annoying?

Rad: Not cute. Just annoying. 😏

Sun: 🙄 Whatever.

Rad: 😂😂😂

Sun: At least I get to see you laugh in text messages.

Rad: 😠😠😠

Sun: Oh I'll put this emoji next to your name!

Sun: 🤣 You look alike.

Rad: Sure.

Sun: HAHA! Thanks for texting me with your number, now I get to annoy you directly.

Rad: K, bye.

Sun laughs with no sound but the bed's sort of shaking so Tyler wiggles in annoyance.

Tyler: Stop shaking the bed! (covers his face with a pillow)

Sun: (whispers) Sorry.

The following morning, Rad and Sun continue to text, and the days after that. They don't talk about much though. Their thread contains mostly emojis and one-liner messages just annoying each other. One time Kash sent Sun a photo on iMessage. Sun opens it and it's Rad, taking a photo of a cat and text saying "So cute - he's taking a photo of himself. Zoom in."

Sun zoomed in and she saw the cat's grumpy face.

Sun: OMG, poor cat looks like him! 🤣 And I realized just now that he does look like a cat.

Kash: I did NOT tell you anything about CATS. 😏

Sun: Haha, don't worry I won't get you into trouble.

Kash: Where are you?

Sun: Studio as usual.

Kash: Boo, working on a weekend. 🙄

Kash: We're with Chord and he told us you make amazing tomato pasta. Can we have a taste? Please? 🙏🏼😋

Sun: Losers. 🙄 Fine, come on over.

And so Kash came with Chord. Rad would rather sleep so he chose to go home. Tyler came, too. He and Chord have known each other for quite a while now so the four of them just bonded over pasta, beer and the boys brought chicken and pizza. Meanwhile, outside, Liam parked his blue X6 in front of the studio. He saw a guy waiting outside, pushing the doorbell.

Liam: Hey, can I help you?

Rad: (turns around) Uh, hey.

Liam: Hang on. You were at Tanner's party, right?

Rad: Yeah. (extends hand) Rad.

Liam: (shakes his hand) Liam. (smiles) So, do you need anything from Sun? Sorry, the doorbell sometimes acts up. Come on, we can go from this side.

Rad follows him to the side gate.

Rad: My friend and my brother are actually hanging out with Sun right now and I'm pretty sure I left my phone in my friend's car so I'm just here to retrieve it.

Liam: Okay. Good thing I caught you out here. (enters gate lock code) Come on in.

They passed by the backyard.

Liam: Lights are out in the house so they must be in the studio. Come on.

They entered Studio M and they're there, all in their headphones, playing some PS5.

Liam: (sighs) So yeah, they really won't hear the doorbell - regardless.

Rad chuckles. Liam turns on the main lights.

4: Hey!!! (turned around)

Sun: Oh you're here! Both of you! (smiles happily)

And so they explained that they just met outside, Liam learned that he is Chord's older brother, Sun bragged that he's Shadow, Rad retrieved his phone from the car seat and boom - he ended up staying longer. The night went well for everyone and Tyler stayed over.

While the besties were doing their skincare routine and putting on their face masks.

Tyler: So. What's the deal with Rad?

Sun: What's the deal with him? (gently pats the mask on her face)

Tyler: He's really...mysterious. I can't seem to figure him out. I mean Kash is pretty easy to crack, he's just one cute and happy guy. Same with Chord the first time I met him. Rad though, he seems like a puzzle.

Sun: (thinks) Hm. I don't know. He seems pretty normal to me. But he did say that he's an introvert and he's shy most of the time.

Tyler: Ooh, (raises an eyebrow) someone knows him well.

Sun: Well not very well. We worked together a few times so we had small talks.

Tyler: I see. (pats his face) He's cute though. No, he's a 'cute kind of handsome' if that makes sense.

Sun: (snorts) You really have a weird way of describing people.

Tyler: I know, but he really is cute and handsome at the same time. He just looks grumpy and inaccessible most of the time though, really.

Sun: He sure does.

Tyler: Oh by the way, my friend from the lab told me that he'll be handing me the papers on Monday.

Sun: Oh my God, did he actually find him? Her?

Tyler: (nods) Mm-hm. And it's a he, that's the only thing he told me.

Sun gasps and is now tearing up.

Tyler: (holds her hand) Hunny, are you sure this is what you want?

Sun: (happy and excited) Yes! Yes! I don't know I just- Maybe I just want to know that person. Maybe meet him one day? You know, I just want to make sure he's doing well and- (exhales deeply) You know.

Tyler: (nods) Yes hun, I know. And I'm all for that. (smiles) Now come here. (hugs her) I'm gonna send that to you ASAP on Monday and you better guard it with your life because I may or may have not just committed something illegal retrieving that file.

Sun: (chuckles) Of course, silly. And technically it's not illegal. It's just gonna be a long process so we took a shortcut. (looks at him) Thank you. Thank you so, so much.

Tyler: (smiles) I'd do anything for you, you know that. I just didn't the last couple of years because I know you weren't ready yet. And I'm sorry about that.

Sun: (shakes her head) No, no, you just did what's right. I mean now might be the best time compared to two years ago.

Tyler: Yeah I feel that you can handle it better now, too.

Sun: I love you, Ty.

Tyler: I love you, too. (kisses her head)

Meow.

Sunday night. As per usual, Sun is spending it alone, in the darkroom while eating some ice cream for dessert since she just finished her dinner. It was gloomy all day and it seems like it's gonna rain. While developing some photos, she saw a picture of a cat. She almost forgot that she shot a random cat she saw on the road. She remembered something and chuckled. She took out her phone and took a photo of it.

Sun: <sends photo> Someone says hello.

Rad: <typing>

Rad: <grumpy cat emojis>

Sun laughs.

Rad: Who is that cute bastard?

Sun: Someone I met on the streets.

Thunder rumbled so loud and Sun was startled. Then she hears the rain suddenly pouring hard. She looked scared. The good thing is she's in the darkroom where there's no windows nor a view of the rain and lightning, but it's on the second floor so she feels so close to the sound of the thunder. She suddenly felt shaky, the kind of uneasiness like having a panic attack. She puts her right hand to her chest and she can feel her heart beating fast. She was startled when her phone started ringing.

Sun: (shaky voice) Um, hey.

Rad: Hey. I was wondering if I could have that picture of the cat? Or is it gonna be on commission? I'd bid for it.

Sun: Uh...(chuckles shakily) are you serious?

In Rad's apartment, he's mixing some iced Americano in his huge glass tumbler.

Rad: Yeah I am.

Sun: Uh, yeah sure. (clears throat) I mean yes, I'll give it to you.

Rad: Are...you okay? Is it not a good time to talk?

Sun: No, no, it's totally fine. I'm actually glad you called.

The power went out at the studio.

Sun: Oh shoot.

Rad: What's wrong?

Sun: Nothing um- the power just went out and...and I'm still here in the studio.

Rad: (teases her) Why? Are you afraid of the dark?

Sun: (chuckles) I am not, you loser. But the rain freaks me out.

She's trying to find her way to the door when she hits the edge of the table.

Sun: Ow!

Rad: What's that?

Sun: Nah I just hit my foot somewhere. I'm trying to get to the door. (reaches the door knob) Ugh, finally. (opens the door) Uh hey, can I call you back? I'll just try and find the keys to my house. The power's out so there's no way I'm gonna get through the electronic locks. (sighs) The downside of technology.

Rad: (chuckles softly) I know. Okay good luck with the hunt. Later.

Sun: Yeah, later.

A few minutes later, Rad receives a text.

Sun: I'm doomed. 😳

Rad: Please tell me you didn't flush the keys.

Sun: I did not. They're hanging nicely and warmly INSIDE the house.

Rad: No shit.

Sun: Yes shit. I have no plans of sleeping over the studio, but I guess it's gonna happen tonight.

Rad: I'm not an early sleeper. I could give you virtual company while it's still raining.

Sun: Appreciate that, but my battery is almost out too.

Rad: You are a terrible girl scout.

Sun: I know.

Sun: Now I just tripped. Clearly, today's not my day.

Sun: When will the rain ever stop?

Sun: 😩🥺😭

And just like that, Rad did not reply.

Sun: (sighs) 'Not an early sleeper' my face. (chuckles)

Sun could go out from the studio's main door, but where will she go? All her stuff's inside the house including her car keys. That doesn't count as well since she can't drive when it's raining. So she just roamed around the studio where only two emergency lights light up the place. She checks the fridge and grabs a can of beer. She takes a scooter and just rolls inside the entire studio just to distract herself from the rain.

She looks at her phone and it's just been an hour since the lights went out. In their area, when the power goes out for more than 20 minutes, it means that it's gonna be out for long, especially in that weather. She's checking on the cupboards for some snacks and probably some wine when her phone rings.

Sun: Hey. I thought you were already in dreamland. (chuckles)

Rad: I am not and it's freezing out here so I'd appreciate it if you open the door now.

Sun: What? Where the hell are you?

From outside, Rad is in a raincoat and black umbrella, bringing a huge bag.

Rad: Out here in front of your studio. Please tell me you can open it from the inside?

Transition to Sun letting Rad in and getting his umbrella.

Sun: (closes door) God, you're soaked.

Rad: I am not, but my raincoat is. (removes coat) Sorry, I'll just have to mop all that water later. (ruffles his hair)

Sun: Oh don't worry about it. What on earth are you doing here?

Rad: (sighs) Well, I'm already curled up in bed like a cat, all warm and cozy until my gut nags me to go out and help a- (thinks) hmm, well, "friend" - fine (rolls his eyes) - who got locked up from her own house and is apparently afraid of the rain which I feel is gonna last overnight.

Sun pursed her lips like she's trying to hold back her laugh.

Rad: What now?

She finally laughed.

Sun: Sorry. The 'curled up like a cat' part is kinda funny.

Rad: (scoffs) That's all you picked up from everything I just said? Unbelievable.

Sun: (laughs) No! No! Okay, I'm sorry. God you really are a mood. (sighs) Okay I'm done laughing. Well...thank you. I didn't picture you as the caring type of friend, but you really are. And I'm quite offended that you had second thoughts calling me "friend", but that's fine 'coz you're here anyway. (smiles and hugs him) I really appreciate it, Rad.

[Music Bed: Brighter Than Sunshine by Aqualung]

Rad's surprised by the gesture. They've seen each other several times and went out with their common friends quite a few times, but they never hugged. She hugs everyone, but she never hugged him. Rad thought Sun probably pictured him as someone who doesn't like hugs and he, on the other hand, finds it okay since he's really not a hugger. But tonight it feels just fine. Actually, 'so fine' that he found himself wrapping his arms around her, too.

Transition to Sun sitting on one desk and Rad is cleaning her little wounded knee when she tripped. Sun is just staring at him. While others see him as someone who's too serious and cold, all she could see is kindness and warmth. Inside Rad's bag is a battery pack so Sun can charge her phone, a coffee thermos that they agreed to share for later since they already found a bottle of wine, and some throw blankets and hoodies for them both.

They stayed by the co-working space with beanbags.

Sun: This is really thoughtful of you. Thank you. (smiles)

Rad: (sighs) Let's just say you owe me someday, but you're welcome.

Sun: You sly bastard. I take back what I said about you being different from my cousins. (Chuckles) Thanks for bringing this, it's really freezing in here.

Rad: I know. And I know you like it, so I hope it keeps you warm.

Sun: (sniffs the hoodie) It smells different now though. (sniffs) Wait. I know this smell.

Since they are just sitting next to each other, Sun leans closer to him and sniffs him near his collar. Rad's startled but he didn't move away.

Rad: (scoffs)(in a very deep and monotonous voice) Are you. By any chance. A dog?

Sun: It's you! I mean this (sniffs hoodie again) what is this? A cologne? It smells just like you. (smiles)

Rad: Well I do hope it doesn't smell that bad.

Sun: No it doesn't. It smells nice and warm. I like it. I like it very much.

Rad blushes. Even if it's just the two of them, they still haven't talked that much or at least talked about something on a personal level. Rad was just there, giving her company. Why? Even Rad can't explain himself.

They finished the bottle of wine, but the hours pass by so slowly and the rain won't go away either. Around 11PM, their tummies start to rumble. They're both laying down on the beanbags.

Sun: I can't believe you packed the blankets, but you didn't pack any food.

Rad: I was under the impression that your studio is stocked up because Chord keeps on telling me that he always raids your pantry.

Sun: (frowns)(whines) I wish I went to the groceries this morning, but instead I went out taking pictures.

Rad: (sighs) I don't think there'd be food deliveries in this weather. (looks at her) Hey, we can drive. (Sarcastic tone) I have my keys with me.

Sun: (chuckles) No. We both drank alcohol.

Rad: I'm not tipsy at all. Or we can take a Lyft?

Sun: No.

Rad: (sits up) I can go if you don't want to. What do you want? Chinese? Japanese? Pizza? (shrugs)

Suddenly, Sun felt uncomfortable. The kind that she felt earlier when the rain hit. Snippets start to flash in her mind: sisters laughing; lights; rain; and a crash. Rad is about to get up when Sun holds his right forearm.

Sun: (shaky voice) Don't. Please. (teary eyes)

Rad can tell how tense she is by how strong her grip is. She looks somewhat terrified.

Rad: Okay. (puts his left hand on top of hers) I won't go anywhere, I promise.

Sun didn't notice her tears running down her cheeks. Rad was never the comforting type. Not that he has a heart of stone, he just didn't know how to - or at least he chooses not to. A past experience somehow made him the way he is right now. But then all of a sudden, he moved closer to Sun and he wrapped her in his arms as tight as he could. And Sun just buried her face in Rad's chest.

Transition to Rad pouring some hot water on a big bowl of instant noodles they found in the pantry.

Rad: (exhales sharply) Okay, 3 minutes till we dig in.

Sun smiles.

Sun: I uh...am sorry about earlier. You must think I'm a freak for suddenly switching to that mood.

Rad: (shrugs) It's okay, I didn't think of anything.

Sun: Thank you. (smiles)

There was a moment of silence. Rad never asked a thing because he wants to respect Sun's privacy. But at the same time, he wants her to at least let those emotions out to feel a little unburdened. After they finished their food, they went back to their beanbags and finally opened the coffee thermos. It was still dead silent until...

Sun: I don't hate the rain. 'Afraid' is an understatement, 'terrified' is exaggerated.

Rad looks at her.

Sun: (looking out the window) I find it really beautiful and comforting until...until it left me a really painful memory. (points portrait) You've seen my sister, right?

Rad nods.

Sun: She uh...died a couple of years ago in a car crash. Same thing, we were stuck in the house on a rainy Saturday night. Then we suddenly craved ice cream. And again, we didn't have any stocks in the freezer. (chuckles softly) We tried delivery but no one would accept, we tried getting a Lyft, but no luck. We wanted it so badly that she decided she'll just drive to the store and get a whole tub. So we went out together and we were pretty successful. (nods) We got our ice cream and we got a movie waiting for us at home. We were on our way home when we got hit by a truck and (sighs) everything just went black. And when I woke up...Jazz was gone. (looks at him) I know I can eat a whole cow with how hungry I was earlier, but I will never put someone's life at risk just to get me something EVER AGAIN.

Rad is just staring at her and he just gave her a soft and comforting smile.

Sun: Plus, I can't risk you getting soaking wet out there.

Rad gives her a confused look.

Sun: Because you're a cat. And most cats hate water. (smiles and scrunches her nose)

Rad: I am dying to say every curse word to Kash right now. (sarcastic smile)

Sun: (snorts) Hey, don't blame the man. I really think you look like a cat even without anyone saying.

Rad: Yeah whatever. (rolls his eyes)

Sun: Can you do a meow?

Rad: (scoffs) A what now?

Sun: A meow. Pleeeeaaaase. (smiles cutely)

Rad: No.

Sun: (sulks) Please?

Rad: No.

Sun: I won't tell Kash.

Rad: I don't care, NO.

Sun: Come on, just one. It'll make my whole night.

Rad sighs.

Sun: I won't tell a soul.

It took a while of convincing until Rad finally faced her with his eyes closed and he uttered "Meow" in his deepest and most emotionless tone. Sun bursted into laughter that echoed in the whole studio as she fell from her bean bag.

Rad: Ha. Karma's a bitch.

Sun: (still laughing on the floor) I don't care how karma bitches me around as long as I hear you say that. (shrieks) Oh my God I can't stop laughing.

Rad: Whatever.

To kill time, they took their MBTI and the results show that they really are introverts. Sun gets her film camera and shows Rad how it works. She even teased Rad that she saw a figure when the camera flashed and Rad low-key freaked out and Sun was again laughing like a hyena. She discovered that Rad is a scaredy cat. Sun never really learned to play any musical instrument so since Rad is bringing his iPad, he taught her the basics with a virtual keyboard.

It was almost 4AM when they felt really sleepy, so they went back to their beanbags and tried to get some sleep. Sun woke up first with the morning sun gleaming on her face. It's 6:30AM. The rain has stopped, the power is back and it's a beautiful Sunday. She sits up and looks on her left. The scaredy cat is still sleeping peacefully. She smiles, takes her camera and takes a photo of him. She then quietly gets up to not wake him. She freshened up and turned on their mini espresso machine in the workplace. She tried not to make a sound, but Rad seemed unbothered anyway. He's a deep sleeper compared to Tyler. She's pouring some coffee on the mugs when the back door opens and three loud creatures come barging in, calling out her name.

Sun: (rushes to them) Sssshh!!! Shush! Shush! Shush! (whispers) Be quiet!

And it's like she didn't just tell them to keep quiet.

Liam: God we've been calling you all night! (hugs her) It rained too hard, are you okay? (holds her face)

Tyler: We wanted to cut our shifts short just to check on you, but it's been crazy in the hospital. We're so sorry hunny. (hugs her)

Arden: (sighs) We're glad you're okay, (hugs her) but maybe next time you'd realize that you have a phone and that there are people who are actually trying to check on you.

Sun: (whispers) Yes, yes, I'm so sorry, but can you guys keep it down? You don't want to wake my guest. (points)

The three turned their heads to where Rad was sleeping, still so peacefully.

Arden: Is that Rad??? What the hell is he doing here? (walks towards him)

Sun: Quite an odd story but hey (follows him) hey! What are you doing?

Arden throws himself onto him, pinning Rad on the beanbag, like what they usually do on sleepovers. Rad coughs with the sudden pressure and groans.

Arden: (laughing) Good morning, Snow White. I am not Prince Charming but I can try and give you smooches.

And waking up, Rad's first words were...

Rad: Fuck you.

Sun and Tyler laugh. Liam is just quiet, maybe still processing why Rad is there when he didn't think they were that close.

Arden: (laughs) Good morning to you too. (Stands) Now get up you grumpy cat.

Rad sits up and Sun laughs so loud.

Rad: (glares at her) I regret that I've kept you company.

Sun: Oh come on, grumpy cat. I made you coffee. (smiles cutely)

He freshened up, joined the rest for breakfast in Sun's little house as she calls it, and they explained why they're together.

Tyler: I gotta say, that's really a sweet gesture Rad. (eats pancake)

Rad: Oh. Um...(stammers) I- I-

Tyler: Oh stop hunny, you don't need to explain.

Sun: Hey don't call him that! I'm your hunny!

Tyler: (snorts) Oh I'm sorry. (hugs Sun)(points her and mouths) Possessive.

Sun: And I know what you're telling them right now.

Tyler shrugs and the boys laughed. Rad and Sun's eyes met and they just smiled at each other. Liam noticed that good few seconds. Who is he in Sun's life? And why does he act like that? Later on Rad went home and so did Liam and Arden. Tyler hangs around when he has weekend shifts so he stays a bit longer.

Sun is curled up on the couch, enjoying her second cup of coffee while texting. Tyler was quietly observing her. She had her last smile and sigh before she turned off her phone.

Tyler: So is he finally sleeping?

Sun: I'm sorry what?

Tyler: Rad. That must be him you're texting right?

Sun: Oh. Yeah I mean- (shrugs) yeah the guy stayed up all night and so did I and-

Suddenly, Tyler leans towards her and starts to sniff her.

Sun: (shrieks) Oh my God! Are you a dog or what?

Tyler: Oh my God! Did you guys have sex???

Sun: (scowled) What?! No!

Tyler: So you just made out?

Sun: (scoffs) No! Oh my God, Ty!

Tyler: Really??? You spent the night together and nothing happened???

Sun: Was there something that's supposed to happen???

Tyler: (groans) Ugh! You poor thing. I wonder how his pink lips tasted like and if his entire body is really as white as snow as what Arden said. I would've made the first move if I were you.

Sun: Oh my God, Ty. You are one crazy bastard. (laughs)

Tyler: A bitch, not a bastard. Ew.

Sun laughs.

Tyler: So why the hell do you smell like him?

Sun: (chuckles)(shows hoodie) This is his, okay? He packed pretty well for a little camp.

Tyler: Hang on. I saw this in your closet last time, too. Was that also his?

Sun: I think we're just talking about the same hoodie, hunny. (sips her coffee) He first lent this to me when that cute boy in the studio spilled his juice on me. I told you about that, remember?

Tyler: Ooh.

Sun: I like this very much. It's so comfy. (sniffs hoodie) Can you get me one of these?

Tyler: Hunny, I swore to your parents' graves that I'll stick with you and make you happy forever. Buying you stuff is a different story.

Sun: (snorts) Buying me this will make me happy!

Tyler: Oh shut up. Just ask Rad to give you that one.

Sun: (hugs him) Please?

Tyler: No.

Sun: (sulks) Please?

Tyler: Winter Sun Hart? Can you not flash those puppy dog eyes on me? And stop using your Sunny charm!

Sun laughs.

Scar.

A couple of weeks later, Sun pops into JTD bringing doughnuts, coffee and something wrapped in a brown paper. She's on her way to the lift when she saw a familiar face.

Staff: Oh hey Sun! (smiles)

Sun: Hey! How are you?

Staff: I'm cool, but it's definitely not really cool here. They're in the recording studio.

Sun: O...kay? Everything good?

Staff: A piece of unsolicited advice: I wouldn't go there if I were you.

Suddenly a crying staff walked past them.

Staff: (points) I swear that's the third person to step out from that studio wailing. Excuse me. Hey J! Wait up!

Sun's so confused but she still went. When she entered the lounge area of the recording studio, another staff member walked out of the control room and she heard some yelling. The control room has a door with a glass panel so Sun can actually see a portion of the room. She moves closer to check if Rad and Kash are inside and she's surprised with what she saw. Rad is sitting behind the console desk and Kash is standing in front of him. It's all soundproof so Sun can't hear a thing, but she's 100% sure they're in the middle of an argument and that they're both yelling at each other. She's about to step back when Kash notices her. He sighs, gesturing for her to wait as he calmed himself down for a minute before stepping out of the room.

Kash: (steps out) Hey Sun. (smiles and hugs her) What brings you here?

He managed to smile despite his very stressed aura.

Sun: Hey. Oh um, I was out for a shoot in the area and I thought I could go swing by to see how you guys are doing, so. Coffee? Doughnuts? (smiles)

Kash: Oh thanks, that's uh...really sweet of you. (smiles)

Sun: Um. Is everything okay?

Kash: Yeah uh...we're just in the middle of wrapping up a project and it's a bit intense and- well it happens. That's actually when the brightest ideas shine, you know. (chuckles shakily)

Sun: (nods and hums) Hm. Oh uh, (shows gift) I needed to give this to Rad as well, that's why I'm here. Is it a good time to see him or...not?

Kash: (exhales sharply) Well I wouldn't let you go in there right now, but do as you please at your own risk. Just remember, you've been warned.

Sun: (chuckles) Copy that sir. (whispers) I think I can handle the grumpy cat. (winks and smiles)

Kash just smiled at her. He crashed on the couch to relax for a bit. The couch also has a perfect view of the control room. He wants to make sure the grumpy cat who's evolved into a tiger today won't kill that cute puppy. Inside the control room. Rad's back is turned to the door as he hears it open.

Rad: Not now.

Whoever came made no sound and it seemed like she didn't leave either. Rad turned his swivel chair around and was surprised to see Sun.

Sun: (smiles) Hi.

Rad: Hey. Sorry um, I thought it's someone else. I mean- (sighs) Sorry, my head is all over the place. It's just not a good time.

Sun: It's okay, I know. (stammers) Uh- I- not that I know, but- yeah. Well I'm here to actually annoy you today, but it looks like some people already stole my thunder, so. (chuckles shakily)

Rad just sighs. He really seems to be in a bad mood.

Rad: What do you want?

Sun: Oh. (walks towards him) I just dropped by to give you this. (hands over the gift) Just open it later when I'm gone. And I brought coffee and doughnuts for you and Kash. Just feel free to share them with the team. (smiles)

Rad: Um...thanks. For the coffee, doughnuts and (raises gift) this.

Sun: You're welcome. Okay so, catch you later I guess. And oh.

Sun bends forward, leaning closer to Rad. Rad's startled again but did not move back. Sun gently squeezes Rad's cheeks upwards forming a cute smile on his face.

Sun: (chuckles) I think I told you that you have a beautiful smile.

They stayed in that position for a few good seconds, just staring at each other. Rad is wearing a black button-down shirt with the first couple of buttons undone exposing his upper chest a bit. Sun's eyes traveled down his chest and saw a scar on it. Her smile faded.

Sun: Rad-

Her left hand slowly traveled from Rad's cheek down to his chest. Just when she's about to touch the scar, Rad grips her wrist tightly. Sun sets her eyes on him again and she sees Rad's dark brown eyes glaring at her.

Rad: Don't.

Sun: I'm sorry I-

Rad: (shoves her hand) Get out. Now.

Shocked and speechless, Sun just stepped out of the studio.

Kash: (stands) Sun. Hey, are you okay?

Sun: (shaky voice) Um, yeah. (smiles) I uh- better go. I'll see you later. (hugs him quickly)

Later that night at the Dylan's, Tanner's parents' home, Tanner's packing his stuff in his room while Sun is laying on his bed, taking out every piece he throws in the suitcase.

Sun: Do you really have to leave? (throws a shirt out)

Tanner: Well I won't be able to if you keep doing that. (chuckles)

Sun: (sighs and sits up) Fine, I won't mess with you anymore. But seriously, for someone who's leaving in exactly 8 days, you really do pack early.

Tanner: Well I'd be too lazy to pack by then so I better do it now. Besides I'm just packing stuff that I will no longer use or wear here in 8 days. Makes it easier to put the rest later on. (winks)

Sun: (chuckles) You're weird.

Tanner: Hey. Speaking of me leaving. Can I ask you a little favor again?

Sun: No. One party is enough.

Tanner: Oh come on. Please? I promise it won't be another class reunion. It's just gonna be us. And very very few friends. And there's no need for setup or anything. I'm cooking this time.

Sun: Should I just convert the studio to a bar or an events place after business hours?

Tanner: (chuckles) I love you. (kisses her head) Mwah!

Sun: (sighs) Fine.

Tanner: So. (puts in some more clothes) Arden told me Rad stayed the night at your place last time. Are you guys going out or something?

Sun: Firstly, what a talkative little bird Arden is; secondly, correction, 'in the studio', not in my little house; and lastly, no, we are not going out.

Tanner: Okay. (shrugs) Straight question, straight answer. I like that. (nods)

Sun: (groans) Ahh, this is what I'm gonna miss the most. You're leaving me again with our very interrogating friends who love to dig in even if there's nothing to dig. Another two added to the list - Kash and Chord. (rolls her eyes and sighs)

Tanner: At least I'm sure I'm leaving you with fun and caring ones.

Sun: (nods) Agreed. So. (lays down again and hugs a pillow) What's the deal with your friend Rad? I mean Kash always teases him that he's a mood and Arden calls him grumpy and Snow White? And well I kind of noticed that he's not like you guys. I mean you're the exact definition of fun and chaos. Did you just force him to be friends with you?

Tanner laughs.

Tanner: (sighs) Ahh, Rad. Well he's...he's a lot of things - just like you - but in a different way. Well one, he really is an introvert, but trust me, he's improved a lot now compared to when we were in college. Ask Kash who grew up with him. Two, he's just snobbish, cold and 'a mood' on the outside, but he's really a nice person on the inside. Three, he's called Snow White because as you can see, the guy is as white as snow. (chuckles)

Sun chuckles.

Tanner: Rad is a very good man, if that's what you're asking. He's just been into...a lot. And sorry, but it's not my story to tell.

Meanwhile in Rad's apartment. He's drinking his whisky in his studio while finishing a song when he saw the gift Sun gave him earlier. He takes it and reads the card.

RAD,

Here's something to make you smile.

He smiles softly and unwraps the gift. There are two frames. One is a photo of the cat he's been wanting to have. He chuckles softly. The caption reads: "Eyes by W.S.Hart" He stares at the photo, through the cat's eyes - they're full of life despite the cat's blank expression. He flips the other frame and it's a photo of him sleeping, the one that Sun took the morning after the rain. He scoffs.

Rad: (mumbles) Unbelievable.

The photo is captioned "The calmest rain. W.S. Hart". He's not sure if the caption is supposed to mean anything, but he thought Sun's just talking about how calm he looked in the photo.

[Music Bed: Ease by Joel Ansett]

He smiles and displays both frames on one table. He's about to text Sun when he suddenly remembered what happened earlier in the studio. He remembers Sun's face so close to his; the way she gently squeezed his cheeks; the way she smiled at him; and the way he gripped and shoved her hand after. He just sighed, probably feeling sorry for what he did.

One day at Where?House!. Sun is in the editing room when a colleague steps in.

Staff: Hey girl boss, someone's here to see you.

Sun: Yeah? Who is it?

Staff: Forgot his name, but it's the handsome guy from last time.

Sun: (snorts) Okay, I will be out in a bit.

When she stepped out, she saw the guy and she smiled.

Sun: So you're the 'handsome guy' my teammate is talking about. (chuckles)

Kash: Your teammate deserves a raise. (chuckles) Hey. (hugs her)

Sun: Hey. (smiles)

Kash: (shows paper bag) I'm bringing some burrito and tacos. I hope you're into Mexican food.

Sun: I'm into any cuisine. Come on.

Sun did not have her lunch yet so Kash's visit is right on time. She takes a break and they stay at the backyard porch.

Sun: (chews and moans) Mm, this is so good.

Kash: (chuckles) God, you look hungry.

Sun: (wipes her lips) Shut up, I'm starving. Thank you, Kash. (smiles)

Kash: No problem. Ahh, skipping meals like my best friend.

Sun: Oh does he? (drinks juice)

Kash: All the time. Especially when he's working on a new song. So I have to constantly remind him, or take him out to lunch, or ask his secretary to buy him something to eat. But coffee? I swear he never misses a cup.

Sun laughs.

Sun: So. How are you guys? I mean I'm sorry about that day. I didn't mean to see you guys arguing. But I didn't hear a single thing, I swear.

Kash: Oh, that. (smiles) Nah, we're good. Rad and I have been through all types of arguments growing up. It's safe to say that we get by. We fight like kids and share drinks later like nothing happened. Work-related conflicts are nothing.

Sun: (smiles) That's nice.

Kash: (nods) Yeah you could say that. So uh, I don't want you to think that I'm sticking my nose too much but...are you okay? I mean he won't tell me what happened that day but...yeah, are you okay?

Sun: (snorts) I'm okay, really. (chuckles) Are you?

Kash: (sighs in relief) Ahh, that's good to hear. Nah, I just thought you were pretty upset when you rushed out that day and (shrugs) yeah. I'm glad you're good.

Sun: Oh um...no, I'm totally fine. He was upset and very emotional that day, so I'd understand if he snapped. I mean I've been warned, right? (chuckles) That's really nothing. I'm glad he's okay and you guys are okay.

Kash just smiled. After a minute of silence.

Kash: He's just...sad, Sun. He's a lot of other things, but 'sad' would be like the collective term of some sort to sum up and describe his current state.

Sun is just looking at him, listening.

Kash: Let's just say he's your exact opposite. But you know what interests me right now?

Sun: What?

Kash: You.

Sun: (eyebrows furrowed) Me???

Kash: (nods) Yep. I can't tell this early, but you, my beautiful friend, have done something to my best friend.

Sun: (snorts) You're kidding, right?

Kash: I wish I am. Give me a little more time to figure it out or you could try and figure it out yourself. (winks and drinks his juice)

Sun: (chuckles) Look, if this is about the rainy night he spent here then I'm really (gestures) this close to killing Arden for spreading that story like wildfire.

Kash: What rainy night? (surprised) Wait, he spent the night here???

Sun: Oh come on. It's as if you never heard about it from Arden. He told Tanner so I'm sure he also told you.

Kash: Okay, hang on. First, obviously I'm left in the dark and second, when was this again?

Sun: I don't know, around 2-3 weeks back? (eats burrito)

Kash: (scoffs) So you were the emergency!

Sun: I'm sorry, what?

Kash: Okay, tell me what happened first.

So Sun had to narrate everything again. Afterwards, Kash is just laughing his heart out.

Kash: (wiping his laugh tears) Okay here's what happened in between when he, as you said, 'stopped replying'. So we live in the same building, right? (Sun nods as she sips her juice) And he seldom comes down to my apartment at night unless we're watching some NBA. So that night, he didn't even bother ringing the doorbell. I was enjoying my series when suddenly he came rushing in, bringing Holly, his dog and placing him on my lap. The next thing I know, he was rushing out of my apartment without telling me anything. And babe, I mean he said NOTHING.

Sun laughs so hard.

Kash: It's as if he walked in and out of his own house! I was just left there, confused, with a dog that magically appeared on my lap. And a few minutes later I got a text saying "Sorry. Emergency. Please watch Holly for me tonight. Thanks." And I'm like "What the fuck is wrong with this guy?"

And they both laughed so hard.

Kash: (catching his breath from laughing so hard) Now I get it. I finally picture the puzzle. (drinks his juice)

Sun: Okay first, (amazed tone) he has a dog??? And second, that was really funny. Like REALLY. (laughs) Ahh, Rad you funny little cat.

Kash: Yes, he has a dog and yes that was really funny.

Kash stayed a bit longer before he went back to the office.

The week before the studio outburst. Rad is having his morning run at the park. He's all sweaty, like he's been running for a while. He stops, sits and catches his breath. And then a panting Kash finally catches him.

Kash: (catching his breath) Ugh! You bastard! What the hell is wrong with you?!

Rad drinks his water instead of answering Kash. Time skips to them reaching Rad's apartment with Holly welcoming them.

Kash: (picks Holly up in his arms) Hey Holly Bananny.

Rad goes straight to his room to change up. While he does, Kash finds a wedding invitation on his kitchen counter. He has the same one so he doesn't need to open it. Rad steps out of his room and starts brewing some coffee.

Kash: So. (shows invitation) Is this why you're acting like a rebel kid these past few days? Exhausting yourself, losing your temper and getting furious for this? What the hell happened to "I've moved on" or "I'm over her"?

Rad: I forgot to throw that.

Kash: I understand, okay? It's so insensitive of her to even invite you to her wedding after everything. But come on, it's been two years and-

Rad: (checking his phone) I know. And I have other reasons, okay? Not just that stupid wedding.

Kash: Then what? What keeps you all stressed out? (sighs) Bro, you know it's not good for you to get extremely worked up. I promised Aunt Harmony and Chord that I'll look after you. Please don't make it hard for us.

Rad: (puts his phone down) I'm gonna take a shower. You better go too or we'll be late for work. I'll see you later.

He left his phone unlocked on the kitchen counter as he entered his room. Kash didn't want to be nosy, but he can't help but check if something else upsets him other than his ex's wedding.

Kash: (still carrying Holly)(groans) Ugh! (whispers to Holly) Do not judge me and don't ever tell your dad that I looked into his phone. I'll get you good treats. Okay?

Holly licks his face. Kash checks his phone before it locks. He went to Messages first and a convo thread is already open. There's no name, just a sun emoji. He did not read, but he scrolled up and he saw that they're regularly messaging. He scrolled back down to the most recent messages and it's only Rad who's sending messages now.

Rad: Good morning <sun emoji>

The following day.

Rad: Saw the photos for the magazine issue.

Rad: I'm bad at giving compliments, but they're pretty amazing.

-Delivered-

The following day.

Rad: Kash and I will be down the sports bar later. Join us?

-Delivered-

Still no reply so he stopped bothering her. Kash puts Rad's phone down and sighs.

Kash: (to Holly) Well, it seems like your dad is in big trouble, Holly Bananny.
