Okay, I’m gonna do this. I don’t know how I’m gonna stop myself from tagging 474536 people, but...@euphoriapotion she’s my tumblr sister. I don’t even know where to start. We can talk about literally anything and we can scream in caps lock for hours about ANYTHING. Even when one of us talks about a show the other doesn’t watch. We still scream. Loudly. :P and she’s the sweetest and one of my best friends ever <3@airsay58259 just like she said in her post (thank you for your kind words!!) we are on the same page when it comes to The Flash. And she somehow influenced my mind with Snowharry :P I basically agree with everything Flash/DP/TC/Caitlin/Snowbarry-related I see on her blog and it’s always so nice talking to her!@politeandnotgay great blog, I often spend HOURS scrolling down their blog to read their theories and opinions, plus I LOVE when they post something about MATES because I can’t listen to it since English is not my first language and it’s pretty hard for me to understand what TC and MIB say. @lyricalarrow I love her blog, she posts/reblogs a lot of interesting stuff about Arrow and Olicity, and she just seems like a nice person even though we haven’t talked yet :)@ah-maa-zing I just love everything that she posts and I could spend days reading her theories and never get bored. Everytime she posts a new Arrow theory I fangirl just as much as I do when a new episode airs.@smoakgifs this blog speaks for itself :P Whenever I need something Felicity-related, whether it’s a gifset from a specific episode or I just wanna know in which episode I saw Felicity wearing that dress, this blog is my source of happiness.@charmedrumbelle really nice blog, I love to read what she posts and I usually agree with everything OUAT-related she says :)@be-a-warrior-not-a-worrier she’s such a nice person and I find her blog to always be interesting, she posts a lot of various stuff and her doodles are lovely.@bluekomadori her art is just amazing, I’m in love with her style and the way she colors her drawings!@dressupyourtech they post cool wallpapers for both desktop and phone and I couldn’t not mention their blog!OKAY, this is definitely not 5 people. And there are a tons more I would like to tag.Also, doing this made me realize I follow A LOT of cool blogs and I should spend more time checking them out more frequently :)

Noooooo! You know what I find, though? Sometimes you just let it go; and one day, randomly, it just starts to make sense. It’s less of a “this is not the right fic” and more of a “not the right time for this fic”.

I have had that happen, too, so you never know... But sometimes when a fic has a problem in its core, I feel better when I just let it go. If it finds its way back, I’ll be waiting. :) In the meantime, on to other fics!

How I got into Arrow and the fandom

I was tagged by the practically perfect agirlandhershows. Thank you J for tagging me. 

January 2014: My sister has watched Arrow from the beginning. I was always aware that it existed, but never gave it a shot. I was too invested in Doctor Who and Sherlock and Harry Potter to add anything else to my, then, overflowing plate (which funnily enough is more full now then it ever was). 

I remember walking down the stairs to my sister watching ‘Blast Radius’. The scene that I walked in on was the scene, the ‘maybe he’s dreaming about you’ scene. I stopped to watch that beautiful minute and a half of dialogue. When it was over, I turned to my sister and said, “they love each other, don’t they?”. She nodded with an enthusiastic ‘yes’. 

You would think that after seeing that moment I would have started watching, but that was not the case. 

April 2014: I think I was bored one day, so I went on Netflix. By that time I had watched every episode of Doctor Who twenty times. I wanted something new. And there Arrow was sitting in the ‘TV Series’ category. I remembered that moment I walked in on and I pressed play. 

And that was the end my life as I knew it. I was hooked within the first five minutes. 

I watched the first season on Netflix within a week. I scoured the internet to watch most of season 2. By the time I caught up, the second season finale was days away. My first live episode was ‘Unthinkable’. What a way to be welcomed into a fandom. 

Tumblr was home to my personal blog, which consisted of my rants, feelings, and some Doctor Who. Nothing special. After I got caught up on Arrow, and while the world was waiting on Unthinkable, I decided to make a multifandom blog. I wasn’t expecting much. I wasn’t expecting to interact with anyone. I didn’t even expect followers. And over a year later, those expectations have been blown out of the water. 

I was always the kid/teenager/young adult who was shy, quiet, and antisocial. I’ve always felt that there wasn’t a place for me and my weird obsessive nature. Tumblr told me otherwise. I’ve seen posts, messages, conversations, fanart, fanvids, gifsets, edits, and fanfiction that prove that I’m not alone. And that is a wonderful feeling. 

Shortly after this blog came into being is when the Smoaking Universe came to be and that’s when V, J, Soph, Kelly, Jay, Shwe, and Laura came into my life. Just like Felicity, these friendships are irreplaceable. 

One of the best Tumblr decisions I’ve ever made was driving to Philadelphia to meet J. It was cold and raining, but it was one of the best days of my little existence. 

I have ‘met’ so many wonderful people I can’t even begin to list them. You guys know who you are. These friendships are the ones that last and long after Arrow is over, I hope to still have contact with each and every one of you. 

I cannot thank this fandom enough for welcoming and embracing and supporting me. You are the best! This fandom is my home.
