I think what you're looking for is Courtney Milan! She's been writing non-white protagonists in her Victorian romances for a while now, and her latest series (starting with The Duke Who Didn't) centres specifically Chinese and Japanese characters. She's my number one favourite histrom author and I absolutely recommend giving her a whirl!

Q7: Tumblr made me fall in love with Destiel. I binged the first 7 seasons and then joined Tumblr the summer before s8 aired. I was 18 and considered myself strsingt. You guys made me realize that I could ship two people of the same gender together and just a year later I realised I was actually bisexual. Who knew!

But ultimately I think it was the chemistry between Jensen and Misha that really drew me in. The way Dean and Cas just /work/ together is undeniable. Their relationship is a lightning in a bottle. Unparalleled and unmatched.
