How does Hit prison guard and prisoner the skele boys feel about each other before and after hit manages to get into a relationship with mc.
For those who don't know, in the prison au, Hit is a correctional officer. He's Mc's polar opposite... unsympathetic to the prisoners, ruthless and unyielding, he's one of the few members of staff that can establish order on his own.
But despite their very differing approaches to the prisoners, Hit and Mc get along really well. The prison staff is a male-dominated system full of assholes who mistreat and patronise her despite her essential role... Hit goes out of his way to be kind, friendly, defending her from other officers if they act inappropriately. And since he isn't a prisoner there isn't a power imbalance, or that careful distance that she always keeps from the other boys- so in this au they'd actually get into a relationship. Mc is clear with him from the start that this is purely casual for her, she doesn’t want anything long term, and he’s not her boyfriend... he lies about being fine with that.
(This is probably one of the best aus for Hit to be in. There's the issue of them wanting entirely different things out of their current situation, but... hey. He's one of very few Hits that actually gets to be with Mc.)
So! Here's the boys' opinions on him before/after he starts ‘dating’ Mc.
Sans: Before, he really didn’t care. Just another annoying officer with his head up his ass, throwing his weight around, handing out cigarettes for money... Sans barely interacts with staff and inmates anyway, since he spends most of his day in his cell or in the medical ward, separate from everyone.
After finding out Hit is with Mc, though, things get personal. Sans always has his eyelights on Hit... he’s trying to gather information on him. Trying to find believable ways to smear Hit’s image in front of Mc. Sans also lets out little snide comments when he passes him, things that are sharp and surprisingly aggravating... taunting him in the hopes that one day, Hit will snap, and hurt Sans in a way that Mc can’t excuse.
Red: Hit was one of the few guards that Red actually somewhat respected. He could hold his own, establish order, could even go toe-to-toe with Red by himself. He wasn’t some loser who just got the job for the power trip. Sure, he was corrupted, but all the goddamn guards in the prison are corrupted- that can’t be avoided
After Hit gets with Mc? The two of them butt heads pretty much 24/7. Red is jealous and bitter, Hit enjoys having something he can lord over one of the biggest ‘problem’ inmates... those two factors don’t mesh well. On more than one occasion Hit will gloat about getting intimate with Mc, riiiight before he leaves Red stuck in his cell. It’s literally just to piss him off, and drive home the fact that there’s nothing Red can do about it, because they both know Mc will assume anything negative Red says about Hit is just jealousy.
Skull: No opinion at first, because he didn’t see the guards as people. They were just... faceless things that tied him down and hurt him. Mc was the only person he could really see as a person.
Eventually, he started to smell Hit on her. He hates it, but she can’t tell, because whenever she’s close to him the joy he feels at having her nearby totally offsets his frustration at someone else’s scent being all over her. But when she’s gone... if he ever encounters the owner of that smell? If he ever has a guard walk into his room, and they’re the one who’s put their hands all over the love of his life?
They’ll be losing some fingers, at least.
