HEROES OF TIME TO COME.
the big ol' ahau fic.... blows up....
The Heroes have finished their journeys; with the castle clear and Hyrule hopeful, they're content... until they see the Champions of Old in desperate need of aid. None of them hesitate. The Calamity never rests, but neither do the Heroes.
aka: Age of Calamity, in the Accursed Heroes AU. What does that entail? Come find out!
READ ON AO3 HERE!
NOTICE: This fic was written by a real life flesh-and-blood human. Use of my work to train AI is prohibited. I hate generative AI and if you use it I hate you too. Got that? Good.

Teba: [chuckles]
Impa: …As a responsible adult—
I know the question marks probably just means undecided but I'm interested in hearing more about those three in this Average Heroes AU.
oh yes, im so happy someone asked! the question marks do not mean undecided, it just means that those roles are what those three seem to be on the surface. all of the lads have some depths as to what's going on with them but Twi, Hyrule, and Four in particular have some fun secrets going on :)
to elaborate but not get too deep into spoiler-y territory, man that wolf acts far too smart to be a regular wolf, four seems to be very new to speaking hylian despite seeming very familiar with the geography, and hyrule seems to be traveling around the kingdom seeking treasure??? for some reason???
Last day in Tulum, Mexico 🇲🇽 was so amazing 😍😍

Ahau / Ancestor / Sun
Today is Maya day 3 Ahau (Ajpu in Aztec) and is the day of the ancestors -- it is also the last day in the 20-day long deity cycle. Out of all of the day signs, this one has the deepest mythical associations as it is associated with the Hero Twins who were created from the sun in Maya mythology and is a day associated with their legendary valor and heroism. It is also a day represented by a seed or a flower symbolizing the infinite cycle of beginnings and endings. Ahau days are traditionally set aside for remembering those who have passed on and is connected to the symbolic practice of honoring the dead through flowers.
People born under Ahau are generally met with many challenges in their life and are natural warriors always looking for a cause to fight for. At the same time they manage to remain kindhearted and gentle. They think highly of themselves and can lack realism when it comes to their own abilities and are known to live in an idealistic world of impossible expectations. Fixated on their personal truth, Ahau people often need to learn that there are many answers to a problem and more than one truth; they are not always right.
In addition to being natural warriors, Ahau people are also mystics and are born with intuitive and divination abilities. Their ultimate destiny is to become a spiritual leader of some sort as they are meant to shine like the sun itself. Like the sun, they are unwaveringly optimistic. Precise, intellectual, creative, and artistic, they are also romantic and a bit hedonistic. Their charisma draws those near and they can lust a bit too much after the admiration the spotlight brings and overlooking important relationships. Despite their hero-mentality, this sign works well in a team, is hardworking, and eager to see any project through.
Words used to describe people born under this sign are fun, sociable, charming, visionary, brave, crafty, adventurous, optimistic, hardworking, creative, idealistic, naive, impulsive, delusional, adamant.
