And for taking prompts in general. - 63 for Jack/ZZ or more like I figured you are flexible but not like this. - Also, I would love to read whatever you come up with unprompted for Jack/ZZ, if that makes sense. ❤️

Zhao Zi smiles, and smiles. Looking heartbreakingly beautiful in the dream light. Jack feels his heart swell and soar. He doesn’t think he could have loved anyone as much as he loves Zhao Zi.

He reaches over to him, wanting to touch, looking up only to find Zhao Zi’s beautiful face half caved-in, bloodied. Brain matter splattered down his naked torso, teeth stained a blackened red that glistens when he smiles. He’s missing an eye, and there’s a large gash in the middle of his throat where blood gushes out with every whispery breath Zhao Zi takes.

Jack gasps, retching in horror. He scrambles back, just as Zhao Zi grabs him by the arm. Fingernails digging deep.

“Kiss me now, Jack.”

He wakes in a puddle of his own sweat and the slow hum of the ceiling fan above him rotating lazily. The Cambodian jungle air in night-time is hot and humid, but Jack feels like he has just stood naked in the middle of deep winter.

It’s just a dream, he reassures himself. It’s not real.

Somewhere in the darkness outside his hut, someone shouts in a foreign tongue. Jack swallows nervously. 

It’s just a dream, he tells himself again. But why did it feel so real?
