Some older design of Lesedi. Was not sure how her layering should work. This one was also missing the Ahemmusa characteristics with seashells and other marine trinkets.

So I finally managed to finish this. A good what? Two months? Roughly two months... These pieces simply take a lot of time, but the end result is worth it imo.
So Erra's Khan portrait is done. You might notice that Erra's throwing down two tribe names... and there's a reason for that. I have written a short biography of Erra's life for Sleepers Awake which you can find -> here which explains why Erra gets these titles. Lines <3

The four, led by a briskly marching Aryon, hid behind a hill crowned with boulders nearby the old Ahemmusa camp. Vivec and Kassur peeked over the boulders, the former for his divine sight, and the latter for his familiarity with the site.
Kassur was horrified. People in cages, in slave bracers, innocent villagers from Vos, dotted the remains of the camp. It looked so different to him now, not only because most of the yurts were gone, but because the earth had been torn to pieces in ugly rows.
“They’re trying to start a plantation,” whispered Vivec, “with the people of Vos as their slave-workers.”
Kassur didn’t understand what a “plantation” was, but could guess at the meaning. The ashlanders of Ahemmusa did not tend towards housemer agricultural practices; they might care for a few small gardens of ashyams and hackle-lo, but otherwise they simply gathered what food they needed from the fertile Grazelands and the abundant sea. To expand those gardens into vast fields and force people to labor over them…it was unthinkable to Kassur.
“How many Ahemmusa?” asked Aryon, who sat against the hill, fiddling with his sleeves.
Vivec started to scan the scene, but Kassur was quicker. “At least forty. I see half of the gulakhans are there, too. But they’re wearing...metal armor.”
Vivec glanced at Kassur with a smile. “Quite right.” He looked back at the camp. “I count forty-two, total. There’s at least two hundred Vosi. Most are in cages, but the rest are in chains, tilling the fields.”
“Unacceptable,” huffed Ku-vastei. “Not on my island.”
