okay so they’ve remade The Witches... but....
while im defs gonna watch it, I can’t help to notice
what the hell is going on with the lighting and cgi??? its just so Not Scary. especially compared to this
with the dull filter, bland colours, grotesque prosthetics - this movie is terrifying as a kid, and that’s why i loved it - the witches was amazing - and okay i know cute bright vivd colours are in ala wes anderson but mmaaaaaan its really killing the vibes. like i love the idea of remakes only you gotta do it Well.
i love the reimaging of it being in America with an African American kid (Thats how you do a Reimagining folks) but getting rid of all the atmosphere? dumbing it down? turing it into a happy meal? guys Kids Arent Dumb - let them have their kid-friendly scary movies >:( they’re gonna be fine
