Is this a good time to mention that I named the cat Aleister Meowley?
That is amazing and I demand cat pictures.
There you go! :)

I don't know, it just seemed like the thing to do, and tumblr seemed like the right place for it.
I should point out that it's not actually a font, proper, just bits cut and pasted from Comic Sans to form the tengwar forms. I'm not sure it's entirely successful--it looks to me like tengwar just hand-drawn with a Sharpie and doesn't quite have that indefinable Comic Sans je-ne-sais-quoi, but I could be wrong.
The letter sound meanings are the Quenya ones, and the words of the letters are spelled in the Quenya manner. I hope I spelled everything correctly. Incidentally you can't spell 'silmë' and use a proper silmë letter in Quenya!
New art of Mama Killa, the Inca Moon Goddess; She's also a Goddess of women and the calendar. Digital art, done in a limited palette, as the December Goddess by Request over on my Patreon.
Prints available through deviantArt.
tell me this man is not delicious
Someone has sent requests for bitcoins from my account. If that seems an absurd thing for me to do you are exactly right. I hope you reported rather than responded. Thanks.
Yeah, me too. Looks like everyone I follow got sent a message.

Print Giveaway!
Yay! I've hit twenty patrons! And that means that it's time to give away a print!
Tomorrow afternoon (Friday August 11th) I'll put the names of all my patrons in a hat (or possibly a bowl) and pick one at random to receive a print of their choosing. There's still time to get in on it if you want to be in the running!
My Patreon features new and experimental art, my artistic process and thoughts on Goddesses, as well as various rewards depending on the monthly pledge chosen.
New art of Boann, the Goddess of the River Boyne in Ireland, Who is considered one of the Tuatha Dé Danann. Her name means 'She who Has White Cows', and I've given Her cow's eyes as is appropriate. It's in watercolor, and the first piece I've done just in that medium in some time. I've put Her up on both prints (through deviantArt) and greeting cards (through Zazzle) if anyone's interested. This was done as the Goddess by Request for May over on my Patreon, where I posted pictures from sketch to finish and all stages in between. I'm at 17 patrons now, and have decided to give away a print of my work when (if) I get to 20. That's just three more! All patrons will be eligible.
New art of Nana Buluku, the West African Goddess Who created the cosmos, including the Moon and the Sun. Done as the April Goddess by Request over on my Patreon. Digital art, to look like a linoleum block print.
She holds a carved calabash (gourd), which symbolizes the two parts of the universe--this earthly world and the Otherworld of the dead and the Gods. Her daughter Mawu (the Moon) and Her son Lisa (the Sun) are in the corners; She is dressed all in shades of purple, as that is Her color. She is also associated with water; the fish on Her skirt are after ones on a carved door. Behind Her is a spiral representing both the cosmos (like a spiral galaxy) and the whirlpool that in some stories is the entrance to Her home. The designs of the spiral are after designs on adire cloth, which Yoruba women make using an indigo-resist technique. I put a circle in a square with some hints of equilateral triangles to imply a kind of cosmic geometry.
ETA: Oh, I should probably mention that I've got Her up on both greeting cards (through Zazzle) and prints (through deviantArt) if anyone's interested.
Sinann, the Goddess of the Shannon River of Ireland, done for a recent commission. Pen and ink with watercolor.
Stwven Moffat, Peter Capaldi and Pearl Mackie on a “Doctor Who” promotion at London’s South Bank, along with a stunning “3-D” mural by artist Joe Hill.
I thought that spot looked familiar; that’s Sherlock about to chuck not-Faith’s gun into Thames. I was just watching this. Weird.
Also, if someone could explain to me why tweaking-on-godsknow-what Sherlock is the hottest thing I have EVER in my life seen good fucking CHRIST I’d appreciate it. I’m a bit worried about my taste in men now, honestly.
New art of Kostroma, one of the Russian earth Goddesses, done as the Goddess by Request for March over on my Patreon. She can be both a young maiden and an old witch; She's said to fall asleep beneath a birch tree over the winter to be awakened in the spring. I've put Her in front of birches as She wakes up with the awakening of the Earth, with winter to the left and spring to the right; the Sun of the spring equinox shines over head. The style is after traditional Russian embroideries.
I've also put this art up on cards through zazzle and prints through deviantArt if you've a hankering.
New art of Anuket, the ancient Egyptian Goddess of the Nile River in the area of the First Cataract, where the Nile flows over a rocky stretch that makes navigation difficult. The First Cataract traditionally marked the border with Nubia, so I've given Her Nubian features.
Her name means 'the Clasper', referring to the high narrow banks that constrain the Nile there. She represents the bounty and fertility of the Nile and its Inundation.
The original is digital, to look like an old lithographed poster in the Art Deco style, since that style was heavily influenced by ancient Egyptian art. It sort of goes with that Bat (the pre-dynastic Cow Goddess) I did a while back.
I've put Her up on both cards through Zazzle and prints through deviantArt, if anyone's interested.
This is a little Diana I did recently; She's in pen and ink with watercolor, to look like a woodcut (sort of). The original's only an inch and a half square!
Diana is the Roman Goddess of women, the Moon, and the wild places; Her festival was on August 13th.
I've put this art up on cards at zazzle; they're blank inside, and you get a discount if you buy multiples!
My Patreon is a year old! Look at all the Goddesses I've painted in the past year. To my patrons: thank you so much; your encouragement and support really mean a lot to me!
And then they lost to Trump, and our country is being torn apart by a neo-fascist and his cronies. The 2016 campaign was a failure, and proof that neoliberalism needs to die, or millions more will suffer. Hillary may have been historic in terms of representation, but she was more of the same neoliberal crap that refuses to actually question our current society.
McEwan is big into identity politics and liberal feminism.
Lol! @cumbler-tumbler, you beat me to it.
:D!
I mean, just look at the way she lists the ethnicities and colors and orientations of everyone, ticking them off like she’s awarding points. There’s no question that it’s important and necessary to have diverse campaign staff, politicians, etc., but she’s kind of using them as tokens.
oh, p.s., she also bullies commenters who look critically at gender and trans issues.
If I had forgotten I stopped reading Shakesville because of how stunning her demonization and repudiation of Hillary Clinton was in 2008 I might make the mistake of thinking her sincere.
Melissa McEwan is an emotionally abusive and manipulative narcissist who waaaay overidentifies with Hillary Clinton. No, seriously, it's scary, and she's been like that for some time now. She's basically ticking off her own boxes here as a way to show how great she is. What's it boils down to in Melissa-speak is: Melissa is a groundbreaking feminist who is as progressive as she can possibly be (and n.b. Melissa has claimed to have Jewish ancestry); look at all she's done for Black women, Muslims, and the gay and trans community; She's a winner and hugely popular; oh don't forget everything Melissa's done for the Latinx community (wouldn't want to forget to name-drop them too); and she's fought against Trump's agenda since for-ever. And none of this is 'business as usual'; oh no, this is Melissa working hard, so hard to represent those poor people who would not otherwise have any representation (her complaint about 'ignor[ing] and dismiss[ing] those leaders', i.e. her, is the tell by the way). And of course identity politics are going to be her thing, because that way she can claim to be marginalized in as many ways as she can make up and nobody can call her on it. And then she gets to scold white people at the end because she (as a white person) knows better.
I know, that sounds all out of the blue conspiracy theory, but I've been sporking Melissa's bad behavior as a hobby for a while now. Try the tags 'Melissa McEwan is a narcissist' and 'Shakesville is a cult'; that should bring up some of the stuff I've written about her in the past. Incidentally the reason I do (or did) all that is because I have abuse in my past, and analyzing her bad behavior was a no-risk way to learn to recognize the patterns (which is much harder and much riskier to do with family). That, and because she's harming the people in her 'beloved community', many of whom are there because she advertises Shakesville as a 'safe space'.
