Weekly Feature: A Home In Haiti
For the next couple months as we are building the 1.0 bhp web platform we are going to feature some organizations and people who are doing incredible things in the name of humanity. People and organizations who are taking a step outside living comfortably and are making a difference in the lives of others.
These organizations and people have recognized a huge part of Being Human. Making an effort to live outside yourself. To be a continual giving, sacrificial lover. To put others as more important than yourself.
This weeks organization is taking serving the people of Haiti one step further. They have seen and recognized a need for shelter in a place rocked with un-usable buildings, houses and homes. These givers are doing something about it, and they need yours, ours and everyone's help, not to help them, but to help the Haitian community.
A Home In Haiti
You play such a vital and important role in the lives of other people. It is so easy for us to say but there is something so much different about being confronted with the reality of the fact. The Haitian people are fully human just like you, facing real needs and being confronted with real wants.
This idea of the weekly feature is to put action to asking the bhp question "what does it mean to be Human?"
How easily you could respond with arguing for the vital necessity of shelter, for a place to rest, for a place of comfort, for a home. How then should we respond for our neighbor?
