@askamnesiamoonjumper I promised as intended from doodling them and I did! The outfit designs are adorable that I do love the colors from each of them, which made it hard to pick on which to draw. But I still had fun with each and they’re all such a treat to do.
So SORRY for the long delay! I got way too many stories (and much more) that delayed me from working on this story as well as my other stories that I had to put on pause.
If you guys are asking, yes I named this chapter after one of my favorite Tangled the Series songs. Please go watch the series if you haven’t yet!
Thanks to @gigilefache for beta reading!
Enjoy!!

The second Mustache Girl made it to Subcon; she was in disbelief. The forest felt spookier seeing everything frozen in time. Each step sounded like she was walking on rocks instead of walking on cool muddy ground. There was no time for Mustache Girl to stop and look at the mess Hat Kid caused, she needed to find her friend and confront her about what she was doing.
Once Mustache Girl made it to Vanessa’s manor, she didn’t hesitate to open the door and went inside.
The manor had significantly deteriorated since Vanessa initially took over. It was a dull gray, cracks painting the walls and ceilings. As Mustache Girl kept making her way through the manor she saw a purple glow coming from upstairs. She narrowed her eyes and slowly ascended the stairs, the farther up, the closer she could hear whispers.
Mu made it upstairs and saw the back of Hat Kid. She was whispering with someone or something. “H-Hat Kid?” Mustache Girl asked.
Hat Kid froze and turned to Mu, causing the latter to gasp and stepped back. The expression on Hat Kid’s face was nothing like her usual happy-go-lucky self, just a deep glare.
“Hello, Mustache Girl.” Hat Kid said. Hatred and anger was heard in her voice.
“Hat Kid, w-what happened to you?” Mustache Girl asked.
Hat Kid chuckled. “I was given a special power, Mustache Girl!” She explained. “Now no one can stop me! No one can’t hurt me, ever!”
Mustache Girl was in disbelief. This was not the Hat Kid she remembered. “W-Why? Why would you cause all this?!” She yelled.
Hat Kid chuckled, “Because a friend told me this is my true power!”
“W-who?” Mustache Girl asked.
“Why..me!” The dweller asked, sneaking up behind Mustache Girl. The latter shrieked and stumbled backwards. The dweller flew back to Hat Kid’s side.
Mustache girl gulped, but didn’t back down. She knew whatever this dweller said or did was forced upon Hat Kid. “Hat Kid, t-this isn’t you! You're a hero! Like me!” She yelled.
“A hero?” Hat Kid questioned before letting out a chuckle. “Funny, I seem to recall you calling me the bad guy in our last battle.” She mentioned. Mustache Girl gasped covering her mouth. In a flash Hat Kid uses her magic from her staff and hits Mustache Girl with it causing her to scream and slam into the wall.
Mustache Girl struggled to get up as pain swam through her body. The last time she and Hat Kid fought it wasn’t this painful. “H-Hat Kid. I-I’m sorry.” Mu apologized. “If this was my fault I-” She paused as she flinched at the pain on her side.
“Your fault? This wasn’t just your fault! It was everyone’s fault!” Hat Kid shouted as she was ready to launch another attack towards the other girl. Mustache Girl closed her eyes and covered her arms to try to protect her from the attack, and surprisingly it did.
“What?” The dweller asked.
Mustache Girl opened her eyes and saw she somehow unleashed a shield. The girl wondered when she took control of the Time Pieces if she had kept the powers she received. The shield faded, and Mustache Girl slowly got up. Hat Kid waited to see what the latter was gonna do next, but never expected Mustache Girl to use her lazer beam on her which pushed the evil girl back towards the wall.
“Hat Kid,” Hat Kid looked up to Mustache Girl walking over to her, “you got to listen to me. This isn’t you. I understand if we didn’t treat you right on the planet, but you aren’t this power hungry.” Mustache Girl explained.
Hat Kid just growled and had her staff pointed at her ex-friend as it started building up power. “Shut up!” She growled.
“I know how it feels. I get it.” Mustache Girl said as she started building up her own magic as well. “But getting revenge on the world isn’t gonna solve anything.”
Hat Kid growled as she swung her staff at the other girl. Mustache Girl teleported away and then punched Hat Kid in the face. Hat Kid growled and punched Mustache Girl back.
The two girls fought each other as the dweller watched from a distance. They didn’t flinch when they saw Mustache Girl use her powers to attack Hat Kid, or when the latter was doing the same. Though it didn’t really matter, one of them was gonna fall eventually. During the fight the dweller saw Mustache Girl’s timepiece fall out from the fight. With a snicker they flew towards it and picked it up.
“Hat Kid!” The dweller yelled. Hat Kid turned to the dweller as they threw the timepiece towards her staff. The timepiece levitated at the staff and Mustache Girl froze seeing the timepiece Hat Kid gave her under her grasp again.
“Hat Kid.” Mustache Girl whispered. “Don’t you remember that Time Piece?” She asked. Hat Kid didn’t respond. “You gave it to me. To show you forgive me for all I did.” Mustache Girl explained.
Mustache Girl wasn’t sure if she was hallucinating or not, but she thought she saw a flash of Hat Kid’s sky blue eyes appear again before turning dull blue. Soon Hat Kid’s staff absorbed all the power from the timepiece and Mustache Girl screamed, feeling the sharpest pain in her body.
Once all the power was absorbed from the timepiece. It fell to the ground, faded and empty. Mustache Girl collapsed feeling weak as she tried to get up. Once she was up, Mustache Girl tried to use her powers but saw they were no longer working. “What? My powers! It’s gone!” Mustache Girl cried.
“Oh I’m so sorry young one.” The dweller mocked. Mustache Girl looked terrified as the dweller and Hat Kid walked towards her before cornering her to the wall.
“Hat Kid, please snap out of it!” Mustache Girl yelled, but Hat Kid ignored her as Mustache Girl’s eyes widened seeing Hat Kid raised her staff and pointed it at the younger girl before a loud blast was heard echoing through the manor.
So recently I started a new job and I’m loving it so far. However, I don’t get off till midnight so because of this I’ll be uploading on my days off. I may do a quick upload before work, but that’s just in case I’m too busy on my days off to upload.
Other than that I hope you enjoy the new chapter!!
It was a lot to take in as Snatcher explained everything that happened to Hat Kid to her friends, and his ex-fiancée. Explaining how it was his fault the planet got into this mess, and that it all happened thanks to him ripping up Hat Kid’s BFF contract. Snatcher saw how quiet it became as Bow and Timmy turned away from him, while Vanessa crossed her arms and glared at him.
“I figured you’d be the one to break girls' hearts.” Vanessa commented.
Snatcher glared at Vanessa. “Wow I didn’t need commentary to remind me what I did was wrong!” He snapped back at the queen.
“Hey if it happened once, it was bound to happen again.” Vanessa mumbled, turning away.
“I heard that!”
“You were supposed to!”
The queen and her prince were face to face, ready to go at it with each other until Bow and Timmy held them back. “Okay! Okay easy now! Easy!” Timmy yelled, holding onto Vanessa as much as he could. It was hard for two kids, one 12-years old and the other 10-years old holding onto two adults acting like children. Soon, the queen and her ex-prince were separated, calm, but still shooting death glares at one another.
“Now that’s settled.” Bow started, as she slowly turned her gaze towards Snatcher, “Why did you do it?” She asked.
Snatcher sighed. “Well I was angry, plus annoyed, but,” He then glared, “when she said no to me I just snapped.” He explained, giving another sigh. “I’m really sorry for hurting your friend.”
Bow and Timmy looked at one another wondering if they should forgive the guy who hurt their friend, but Vanessa was set on where she stands. “Look,” Bow started. Snatcher braced himself to hear what this kid had to say to him. “Even though you're the cost to why Hat Kid turned out this way, we don’t think breaking a friendship was enough to turn her evil.” She explained.
“Maybe mad at you, but not evil.” Timmy added.
Snatcher sighed, and felt relieved that he was forgiven. Though he did take Bow’s words to heart about something else that made Hat Kid evil. His memories flash seeing the “dweller” that was with Hat Kid before passing out.
The former ghost kept track of every dweller and Subconite back in Subcon, and this was a dweller he didn’t recognize. However, all he did know was that this “dweller” or whatever it was convinced Hat Kid to be this way.
“I-I think I might know who did this.” Snatcher let out. He got up and went to the telescope to transport himself back to Subcon.
“Where are you going?” Bow Kid asked. She tried to stop him, but the telescope had already teleported Snatcher back to Subcon. The child gulped in fear and had to quickly follow Snatcher before it was too late.
Once landing in Subcon, Snatcher gasped at how monochrome Subcon was. It wasn’t a lively forest, nor a spooky forest with neon mushrooms and ghosts, just a monochrome of emptiness. There was no one around, and it felt more spooky than it was before. However, Snatcher could worry that latter, he just wants to find someone, anyone that could help him.
“H-hello!” Snatcher called out. He flinched when he heard his voice echo back. “Kiddo! Anyone!” He called out again. The former ghost kept walking looking for his minions or Hat Kid, “maybe they’re all hiding? Or maybe they left Subcon.” Snatcher thought to himself. However, he was so deep into his thoughts he bumped into a statue.
Snatcher rubbed his head and his eyes widened in fear at the statue he bumped into. The statue was of two Subconites and a Dweller huddling each other in fear. The former ghost then turned and saw another one of two Dwellers. Snatcher collapsed and breathed heavily as flashbacks of the day he found the frozen bodies of the victims thanks to Vanessa. What he’s witnessing now was way worse than frozen corpses.
“It’s awful isn’t it.” Bow Kid spoke up. Snatcher turned and saw the young girl with a sorrowful look on her face.
“T-the kid.” Snatcher let out. “D-did she do-“ Snatcher was cut off when he saw Bow Kid giving a small nod. Now the guilt really hit him. The former ghost could handle Hat Kid stopping time on the planet, but freezing everyone he couldn’t handle again.
Bow saw how distraught the man was and went over to him and held his hand. Snatcher turned towards the young girl, who tried to cheer him up with a warm smile. However, as much as he needed to be cheered up, now wasn’t the time.
“Could we head back now?” Snatcher asked.
Bow gave a silent nod and soon the two teleported back to the ship.
Back on the ship was quiet; Snatcher and Vanessa sat on opposite sides of the ship. Vanessa was trying to see if she can get any of her ice powers back, while Snatcher was quiet and buried his face with his hands and legs.
Bow came from the door causing the duo to look up. The young girl dropped a box filled with clothes for the royals to change into. “Well if you want, here are some clothes to change into.” She stated.
Snatcher and Vanessa walked towards the box and saw clothes their size. Vanessa pulled out a mint green and white dress, long white stockings and black Mary Janes. Snatcher pulled out a long grey t-shirt with a crown silhouette on it and beige shorts, black socks, and brown boots.
Vanessa grabbed her clothes and left the room to get changed, while Snatcher stayed to do the same thing. Once they were changed Vanessa headed back to the room and decided to rest for the night.
Snatcher didn’t sleep till much later, right till Bow and Timmy told him they’ll be getting rest themselves. The former soul stealing ghost slept sitting up, tired to even lie down.
Snatcher opened his eyes and saw he was back in his colorful, but alive Subcon back to being a ghost. He was confused, till a familiar giggle interrupted him. The ghost followed the giggle till he made towards a clearing surrounded by flowers.
In the center of that clearing he saw Hat Kid giggling being happy as she danced in the flower field. Snatcher smiled and flew close to her.
However, this was a mistake.
Hat Kid’s joyful giggles started to sound creepy as she slowly turned to her evil self. Snatcher gasped and stepped back as the flowers around them started to die and tie him up. Hat Kid chuckled as she slowly walked towards Snatcher, as the latter struggled to get free.
“Let’s see how you like having your soul snatched, Snatcher?” Hat Kid asked as her hand glowed green as she went inside Snatcher’s chest and stole his soul.
“No!” Snatcher yelled waking up. He was breathing heavily as he looked around the room to see everyone was asleep. He sighed glad no one woke up thanks to having a nightmare. However, the former ghost wasn’t sure if he could sleep more after that.
“Oh kiddo.” He whispered. “I’m sorry.” He apologized, as he felt tears falling from his face. He repeated his apology as he quietly sobbed.
This was the first time he cried in quite some time.
