Did you post the art for the latest chapter of "Somewhere I'd Rather Be"? I don't see it.

Ahh... That would be because I did not post any - Made the decision to do so since I was having a lot of trouble just finishing that chapter.

Saturdays chapter might have art if I can swing it, and I'd really like to since it'll be the last one before I put this fic on hiatus for a bit, but art's been tough to make lately. Particularly since I'm involved in a rather intensive art project that is taking up any and all of my free time to meet the deadline.

Saw Project Hail Mary, loved it, have so many ideas now- but please enjoy a OC AU because these are fun

Details below the cut

In this version of the story, there are four people meant to go on the ship instead of three. The typical three and then a medic. Nell originally was part of the general medical team for the project, but when the astronaut trained medic backed out due to a family issue, she was pressured into going because she had “ no romantic or familial ties”. She wasn’t drugged into it like Rylan was, but she was absolutely not happy to go.

Four years later, she wakes up and the other three have died in transit. She’s also experiencing the amnesia that Rylan experienced. So this 40-something-year-old nurse has to cobble her memories together to figure out what she’s doing in space, and do the work of about three other people to solve the astrophage problem using their notes, instructions and help from the ships AI systems

Since this isn’t meant to be the Hail Mary in my head, the ship’s name is the Odyssey and she has access to two internship AI- the medical AI which she calls Penelope and the pilot AI, which she calls Odysseus.

Most of the other plot points are the same except anytime she says something sciencey she is double and triple checking a bunch of notes and open Wikipedia pages lmaoooo

I never draw real people, but tonight, while working on other projects, a song came on my playlist and I couldn't stop thinking about her- So here, my older sister to passed away in 2010.

She was nine years older than me, liked Pantera, and drove a silver mustang. She was as complicated a person as anyone, and died before she could turn 25.

I'm older than she ever got to be, and she's officially been gone for longer than I knew her. Its an odd grief to parse through. I like to think she would have absolutely liked Tumblr though, funny enough.

Agent 003 just wants to retire from all this secret agent business - satisfied with her work and ready to train the next generation... but halfway through her final meeting with her superior, 008's identity is compromised in the field leading to his murder, and 003 is the prime suspect. With no one on her side and the entire force of MI5 on her tail, she turns to the only agent loose enough to lend her a hand: The brash and compromised 006. She offers him a quid pro quo - help her get revenge on who's trying to frame her, and in return, she will help him find the missing Agent 777 - who 006 has spent the last 10 years searching for. The chase these two agents wind up on leads them to secrets that compromise the entirety of MI5, and causes them to rub elbows with the Cipher Institute, whom 006 has a long and complicated history with. Who is behind the security leak? Is revenge possible? Where could agent 777 possibly be? In the shadowy world of espionage, trust is in short supply, and 003 and 006 will have to figure out just how much to give to each other, or risk everything.

PHEWPH - DONE - this coloring took too long, but I'm very satisfied with how it came out!
